Blasphemy's Meaning in the Bible: Blasphemy is well-attested in the Old Testament in passages like Leviticus 24:10-16, which were rooted in the fundamental command of Exodus 22:28 that states, “You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people.” Such blasphemy was subject to punishment by death.

Mark 3:28 “Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:”

1 John 5:16 “ There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.”

1 John 5:17 “If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. 

Matthew 12:32 “And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”
(Uunbelief – blocks forgiveness of sin) Hebrews 3:12 “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.”
Hebrews 4:11 ”Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”
Leviticus 24:10 “... the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of the LORD, and cursed. (13) And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 14 Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.”
1 Timothy 1:19 “Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.”
All blasphemy is not a sin unto death. Only blaspheming the Holy Trinity, the Holy Ghost or Lord Jesus carries the penalty of non-forgiveness and death. Know God, know peace. Amen. 12/31/2020 BLL

Each day bares its on unique set of events. Some recognizable some masked in ignorance. As we near the dawning of a new day, calling upon the Lord is a necessary activity. If we neglect the creat o r and giver of the new day, we simply cannot have a right spirit. Joy comes in the morning only through God’s book of promises.
