Revive
REVIVED
Psalms 85:3-9 3 “Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. 4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease. 5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? 6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? 7 Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. 8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. 9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.”
Somehow our people, who are called by the name of God, have become confused. Like those who have no hope, fear of the unknown has overtaken us. COVID-19 is a force to be reckoned with, but, in a positive way. Know this; we fight not against flesh and blood but against spirits of darkness, powers far beyond our understanding and against the evil one. Therefore a revival in necessary among God’s people. Only God touches the unknown. Only God has power over the dark images of corruption and deceit. Revived, we Christians, may humble ourselves and pray and God will heal our land.
Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (Isaiah 57:15) “For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”(Hosea 6:2 ) “Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. (Romans 7:9)”For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. What will we do then? Have we died before the order of lock down; home bound? Are we a people given unto faith or unto fear? Do we have a God who is afar off or close at hand? We must unite in prayer and supplication to sustain the reviving that will come when we invite God back into our schools, homes, governments and lives. We must unite! We keep the law insofar as is possible but we must never short change our God!
Romans
14:7
“For
none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 8
For
whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die
unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9
For
to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be
Lord both of the dead and living.
10
But
why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy
brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11
For
it is written, As
I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue
shall confess to God. 12
So
then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Know
God, know peace. Amen 04-28-2020 BLL
