THE FIERY HELL

In the “olden days” when TV, electronic games and computers were unknown, young folks would gather together in the late evening for a marshmallow roast. It was a happy time away from the cares of everyday boredom; a time of courting. There was no strong drink and “Mary Jane” and other drugs were not available or known. Dazzled by the flirtation and lust of the eye, many disregarded their staked out marshmallows roasting near the fire on a green hickory switch. But, when the white puffy treats burst into flame, they would rush to retrieve them. The extended arm and face could not bear the heat of the bond fire and was quickly turned away and retrieval and escape was rapidly accomplished. Laughter continued as they distanced themselves farther and farther from the heat of the flames. My dear Friends: the flames of hell are thousands of times hotter. Those who reject Christ as their rescuer from the flames cannot move away but will at the judgment seat of God be cast into their midst to live and burn forever.

Matthew 18:8 “Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.” (Matthew 5:22) “But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.” (Matthew 10:28) “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Proverbs 27:20 “Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. (Isaiah 5:14) “Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.” (Matthew 23:33) ”Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” (1 Peter Chapter 2: 4) “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Jesus spoke through an angel to John thusly: Revelation 1:18 “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

Revelation 6:8 “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”

Revelation 20:13 “And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.” (Revelation 20:14) “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”

Make no mistake. There is a literal burning lake of fire referred to several names but hell was prepared for the devil and his angels and all who follow after his guidance inherit its everlasting torment. Jesus spoke to peter of the founding of the principles of the church on Grace. (Matthew 16:18) “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Know God, know Peace, Amen. 04-22-2020 BLL
