Rushing
RUSHING
Acts 2:2 1 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.”
When
God gave me this message, my mind went to the rush dominating the
world today. Well, that was self and there is no place for self in
putting forth Gods messages. Then Mary and Martha crept from the
pages of time into a mind already attuned
to searching scripture for other verses to add to the Rushing of
Mary, God
spoke “NO.” Rather, he directed attention to Himself:
Luke
10:38
– 42
“Now
it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain
village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her
house. 39
And
she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and
heard his word.
40
But
Martha
was cumbered about much serving,
(rushing)
and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister
hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41
And
Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful
and troubled about many things: 42
But
one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which
shall not be taken away from her.”
Isaiah
17:12
“Woe
to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of
the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the
rushing of mighty waters! “Isaiah
17:13
“The
nations shall rush
like the rushing
of
many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off,
and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind,
and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.” Jeremiah
47:3 “At
the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the
rushing
of
his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall
not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;” Ezekiel
3:12
“Then
the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great
rushing,
saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.” Ezekiel
3:13
“I
heard
also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one
another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise
of a great rushing.”Luke
10:38
“Now
it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain
village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her
house. 39
And

which shall not be taken away from her. Matthew
12:18
“...
I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the
Gentiles. 19
He
shall not strive, nor cry; neither
shall any man hear his voice
in the streets.
20
A
bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not
quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
Kings
19:8
“...behold,
the word of the LORD came
to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah? 11
And
he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And,
behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the
mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but
the LORD was
not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but
the LORD was
not in the earthquake:
12
And
after the earthquake a fire; but
the LORD was
not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
Our
Lord walks through
these troubled times using a small still voice. Only those attuned
through the Holy Spirit can hear Him. He calls not to this
time but times to come
of
sorrow. Listen
to His whisper if you dare. Willing
to receive all who will come, He walks in Love. Know God, know peace.
