The Hiding

THE HIDING

Some people know much, some know little. The lost are confused of the devil and know nothing concerning God’s wonders. But, when we purpose to believe that we are wise in the ways of God, we will soon realize God alone knows the whole of Himself and His creation. We are given glimpses of its coming and passing but the things of God are hidden even from His Saints. Don’t be deceived, God is Himself not hidden.

1 Corinthians 8:2 “”And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. (1 Corinthians 2:11 ) “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.”

Truths that lead to discovery and retention of salvation are not hidden from Humans who can correctly receive them.; some may not:

‘2 Peter 1:9 “And (add) to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:”

1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.“ Those who have been given knowledge, wisdom and understanding is required to utilize it to Glorify God.

John 12:36: While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.” (Jesus in the flesh hid himself for rest.)

2 Corinthians 4:2 “But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.”

1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” (Luke 10:21): “In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.”

Often some weary soul think to hide from God themselves or their sins; can’t be done.

Genesis 3:8 “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.” ( Genesis 3:10 ) “And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. “

Though God can hide things from us concerning the times and trials of life, he does not hide from us and we cannot hide from Him. Some things God keeps from us because of His love for us. He spares us the worry.

Genesis 18:17 “And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;” However we Christians will not be hidden during the time of witnessing. (Matthew 5:14 ) “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Nor do we hide our gifts of God and fail to share and gain souls unto the flock. In the parable of the talents we learn: (Matthew 25:25 ) “And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent.” (James 5:20) “Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” (not ours but theirs)

There will come a time and now is that men and women will flee from righteousness and try to ignore the power of God as manifested.

Revelation 6:15 “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; ( Revelation 6:16) “And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:“ Know this one thing. God knows not only the physical indications of our status with Him but also the conditions of our hearts. Nothing is hidden! Know God, know peace. Amen. 04-08-2020 BLL
