Lock Down

LOCK DOWN

In days gone by, parents would yell to their children to “shut up”; meaning to stop talking or arguing. Normally it worked because theres a penalty for continuing. “Shut up” could refer to shutting in or shutting out. Lock down to prisoners means being confined in isolation; locked down in a small place. There is voluntary lock down and there is mandatory lock down. A small one room shack, a mansion on a hill or even borders to dividend boundaries to all man’s divisions of the earth establishing owner ship. There are methods of locking down. All have a purpose and a distinct expected outcome. A few examples are found in Gods word:

Genesis 7: 15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. 16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.” (Time passed)

Exodus 12:22 “And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

Exodus 12:23 “For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

Leviticus 13:50 “And the priest shall look upon the plague, and shut up it that hath the plague seven days:”

Leviticus 13:4 “If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days: (Exposed to disease)

Leviticus 13:31 “And if the priest look on the plague of the scall, and, behold, it be not in sight deeper than the skin, and that there is no black hair in it; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague of the scall seven days: (Tested Positive)

Leviticus 13:33 “He shall be shaven, but the scall shall he not shave; and the priest shall shut up him that hath the scall seven days more:” (14 days)

Leviticus 14:38 “Then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days:”

Leviticus 14:46 “Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.

Joshua 6:1 “Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.”

Isaiah 24: 7 “The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh. 8 The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth. 9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it. 10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in. 11 There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone. 12 In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction. 13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.

Daniel 12:4 “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

1 John 3:17 “But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?”

Now, as then, we can draw comparisons as to how God works His plan. The coming of the Lord for his church is at hand. If you are a bride of Christ hold pat until His coming.
