See a Man

SEE A MAN

There is a song of praise to our lord and savior that touches the heart strings of many folks. It came to me through the hands of a good friend. I have not the authors name in memory but assuming authority to print a portion with his blessings. “I know what sorrow and pain you must feel and I would help you if only I could. I cannot take away your pain but I can take you to the one who can.” (Come see the Man). While not verbatim, the message is clear. Most times we cannot intercede with disease, hurt, pain and sorrow;. “I’ll pray for you” sometimes seems so empty; most times to the suffering. Certainly there is one who can, will and does always guide, guard and protect those who have accepted him as Lord. His name is Jesus. Come see the one who will heal your spirit, soul and body; if you believe.
Jesus waited at a well for a woman to come to draw water. She did not know that she came to see a man who would change many lives because of her. (John 4) 28 “The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, 29 “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? 30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him. 39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.”
She was unaware that Jesus was the Messiah. She was not looking for Him. They came to see the man and met Jesus who truly knows all things. Jesus had put himself in her path. Let us keep watch and be ready in order to prevent Him putting himself in our paths to get our attention. If we demand of Him to know these things reserved and closed until a time not yet come, we may expect Him to repeat His words given to the Pharisees.
Luke 17:20 “And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” Questioned by disciples as to the coming of all things they had been told, Jesus responded. (Vs. 23) And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. We guess and we wonder. We speculate and we proclaim insight. We think we know something when we know nothing. When we hear, “come see the one” cried among us.” Don’t run to see. Coming to Jesus Christ our Lord is every mans decision. Being ready is according to each persons conviction. The time may well be at hand but it is not yet. When it is come, everyone will know immediately. There will be no guessing or running to tell “come see the man” who was Lord of old and King of today. He is the Man (Lord Jesus) who we must see to be saved from a fiery hell.
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 6:44) - “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (Romans 10:13) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(John 5:40) “And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.” (Revelation 22:17) And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Don’t look for Jesus in the grave, he has risen. Seek to see the Man, who was and is God, at the altar of prayer and you shall find Him. Don’t think He is in the grave or that He was stolen away and burried elsewhere. He is not and was not.
Mark 16: “And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. 6And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. 7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.” Of a truth, we will all see Him as He said we would. Christians unto joy but the unforgiving unto great sorrow. Know God, know peace. Amen. 04-11-2020 BLL
