Ecclesiastes
Chapter 3
As
life’s journey has progressed and continues to its end, we have and
will observe all things coming to an end. Only Love is eternal. Until
the trail’s end for each of us, we realize that
“that
the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are
in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by
all that
is
before them. For all this I considered in my heart even to declare
all this, “Ecclesiastes Chapter 9:1.
For
we know that in the beginning all things were created. At the flood
in Noah’s time, most all things ended in one swift swoop of the
power of God. With Moses the law began; with Jesus it ended. Abraham
received the promos of of God’s blessings and received the
circumcision of the flesh covenant. Jesus’s unselfish sacrifice of
Himself ended flesh circumcision and the law and established heart
circus ism and salvation by grace. His
walk and work this earth would end when it had accomplished for all
people a simple method by which they might obtain eternal life. His
adult life was utilized in building selected disciples. He
gave them instructions as Matthew recorded:
- Matthew 28:20 “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” In the parable of the sower Jesus taught concerning the end:
- Matthew 13:39 “The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.”
- Matthew 24:3 “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
- Matthew 24:6 “’And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
- Matthew 24:14 ‘”And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
-
- John 13:1 “Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.”
- We read of Jesus praying in the garden and accepting the cross ahead of Him. Judas would betray Him into the hands of the Jewish leaders on false accusations and they unto Roman authority in like manner. Innocent of any wrong doing, he was put to mock trial.
- Matthew 26:58 “But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.”
- Pilate received Jesus for questioning.
- John 18:37 “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
-
- James 1:15 “Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”
- To die for us, Jesus who was without sin having no lust, took our sins upon himself and became subject unto death. The deed was decided already. The decision made. The doing, only, remained. It followed in horrible completion. The sound of the hammer pounding metal spikes into his feet and hands rings loud still today. They tormented our Jesus and hung him on the cross before many witnesses. He ask for water and they offered him vinegar and Gaul.
- John 19:30 “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”
-
- In this manner the walk of Jesus on earth came to an end. It was not the end of our Lord. He rose from the dead savior over all. He became our sacrifice. He sits by Father God in heaven awaiting time to return and gather in His bride. The angeks stand with reap blades at the ready. They will harvest the tares. The tie is ht hane; even at the door! Know God, know peace. Amen. 02-25-2020 BLL
