The Coming Night

THE COMING NIGHT
Genesis 1: 1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”
From this beginning record, we gather insight into a very important concept. There was nothing opposing the darkness. Within its cloak, hunkered untold images of evil. I suppose that it is possible that Lucifer slithered into the dankness since he was homeless; having been cast out. I know of no verse to back this up and the canon is closed. This is simply the thinking of a simple man.
God saw the darkness. He could not, would not create man and place him there in. So, He separated the darkness by speaking into existence light. In this light He would form humans and he saw that the light was good. He did not claim the darkness as good nor evil. However He always makes opposites to all things. He called the light day and the dark he called night. When Satan slipped out of the darkness into the Garden of Light, things changed. Evil had penetrated the light but remained(s) most prolific in the night.
The good of the day remains in constant conflict with the evil of the night. So it must remain as long as there are those who follow after Satan and deny our creator the Lord Jesus Christ. Believers are challenged to make the truth known to those living the lies of the devil. We know that all will hear but few truly believe. Therefore hell is created for the devil, his angels and all who choose night over day; darkness over light. Darkness, on all levels knows only the boundaries left to it by abundance of light. People of the light are to shine their light so those in darkness can see a way out. John 9:4 “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” Honest labor, in John’s day could not be accomplished in the dark. However thieves, whore mongers, robbers and all evil doers sought out the darkness to cover their dirty work. Gate guards were posted to guard against them at night. Isaiah 21:12 “The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.” We who guard see the signs and know time is dwindling away. Night is passed and the light of day is dawning. We must guard and be ready for our Lord’s call. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 “For ye yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. Only the Father in heaven knows the day and hour but we were left clues revealing its nearness. Romans 13:12 “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” 1 Thessalonians 5:7 “For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.” Christians work while it is day. All endure the night for a span of time. Children of light leave out to shine with the light of day. They have slept and taken their ease. Those who are marauders of darkness dwell in the dark predominately unless they see the light and desire it. We in the light have a good shepherd watching over us day and night. The night will come when our Lord will descend for those truly emerged in the light to meet Him in the clouds. Luke 17:34 “I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.” Only those who’s light in oiled, shining and ready will go. Some, there are’ in the same house hold that will remain. Also, the spiritual man will leave their man of clay behind. Then,, in due time the Lord’s Glory will appear in judgment.
2 Peter 3:10 “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” God’s beloved will suffer no alarm. Children of the Light have in store for them an eternal life of blithe and rest.
Revelation 22:5 “And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. 1 Thessalonians 5:5 “Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of the darkness. Know God, know peace. Amen. 02-11-2020 BLL
