The Harvest

THE HARVEST

Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

The key words in this selected scripture is “While the earth remaineth.” Somehow earthlings, who remain in darkness, have developed a belief that there is no end to the earths characteristics. There appears to be an innate disregard by ignorance of God and His plan for earth and its inhabitants. They do not see, nor wish to see, the soon coming harvest of those who have accepted God’s truths and converted from death unto life. There are only a few who awaken to God’s childrens plea and come into the light of God’s Grace. We Christians are to leave God’s table and go into the field and testify of Jesus to those ripening in sin unto death. God awaits our readiness exposed by our cries unto Him.

Matthew 9:38 “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” When we pray, preparation must have been made within us for our entering in to the field at the margin of dark dampened understanding and cry for those clinging within to come out into the light. Jesus sees and He knows the world condition but each one has choices. Satan peddles his product of sin very effectively. Let us pedal eternal life with our Lord more effectively.

Matthew 9:37 “Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

That few number of workers can expect Satan to plant spies and deceivers among the workers for Christ. Jesus called them tares. Some will infect the saints working among them. After warning, press on to the lost that some might accept their call and repent of their evil ways. 1 Peter 4:2 “That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. Shine your light as you walk along the margin of darkness. Keep moving. Cast not your pearls before the swine.

Matthew 13:30 “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:39 “The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.” We have no part in gathering in the fruits of our labor. We look not to the time of harvest, it is always upon us! We know not the season that God will ripen the field to fullness and come for us.

Mark 13:32 “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Make no prophesy of time.

John 4:35 “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. John 9:4 “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” Some will still come even though the day drawers nigh for the harvest of God’s elect. Work is in season for each of us until we see the face of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Matthew 4:16 “The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up; according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,”

2 Timothy 1:10 “... is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:” Soon, and very soon, we shall see His appearing and we can then cease from preparing the harvest. The reapers will have come.(Hebrews 4:10) “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.” The tars are about to be bundled for burning. We are now feeling the end of all things.

Revelation 14:15 ”And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” The end of the world is at hand. Know God, know peace. Amen. 02-18-2020 BLL
