Comfort Others

Comfort Others

When the final sunset falls over our lives, we may realize our lives were more centered on self. But as that draws near one becomes acutely aware of someone saying, “you made a difference in my life. We can receive the death angel with comfort and joy. Standing on the brink of eternity and looking onto the throne of our Lord will be the test. Did we receive so great a salvation to park on a pew glancing at the clock periodically and hearing growling noises in our tummy's.;or fishing in our hearts. Do we do the work that God planned for us when He breathed the breath of life into us? Or, did we say “ah someone else will do it.” Earth and its inhabitants does not revolve around us. We are a mere pawn on a chest board waiting the masters moving us. When we try to build unto ourselves great fortunes, a spectacular home or advanced community leader ship. What will hear from the lips of God; “well done my good and faithful servant” Welcome in. How sweet that sounds will be! However if we neglect so great an assignment with excuses what will he say to us.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Hebrews 13:16 says, “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”

We don’t enlarge ourselves in material things. God gives the increase. He has the say, not we who may be prone to believe we do. Take care of earthly things after ministering to God. He lets some live generously, so they may freely help those in need with no thought of what will come in return. Time is a rare diminishing treasure. We watch our “time” speed away with little thought of what we must do with the spiritual gifts and natural-born talents we possess from God, and our financial and material possessions. When we do good to others by sharing with them, God recognizes our selflessness and sees it as a sacrifice of service to Him.

Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Know God, know peace. 04/12/21 BLL
