Under Oath
Under Oath
Before taking the witness stand in a court of law, one must raise their right hand and with their left resting on the holy bible take an oath to tell “the whole truth, so help you God.” Usually, those taking such an oath have never known God. What then is the benefit regarding their being truthful by swearing before God. Only God knows the truth. There is no man and no machine that can for certain detect deception. As we have all seen on TV or in real life in court case presentations, there are “two sides to every story;” someone lies! Suppose you were on trial for some unintentional act of violence. There were enough circumstantial evidence to cause your attorney concern that unless you denied the action, you would be found guilty and go to jail for a long period of time. But, if you lied and denied the act you would go free. What decision would you make?

- 2 John 1:3 “Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.”
