Faith is Service

Faith is Service

Matthew 23:11-12 says, “The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”

As you progress along in life do not seek positions or positional power, but Instead serve others. This follows the model that Jesus Christ lived out in His life and it is how we submit ourselves to His example. Live not for the gains possible in this life. Rather live for the liberty that comes through belief. Jesus said; “as you do unto each of these my little ones, you do it unto me.” Our work for God is our faith in Him. That faith yields a walk close to His example while here on earth as a man. We are to seek out that old way and walk in it.

Ephesians 6:7 “Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; 6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;”

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 23:5) “But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”
Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”
Romans 12:27 “Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. 28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Know God, know peace. Amen. 04/18/21 BLL
