Building Faith

The Bible is full of precepts and truths that can provide sound guidance for our lives. Let us discuss some precepts that we can build our life and faith upon. Many times my faith has been put to the test. I must say I scored a “B” at best. Maybe you have been given the test also. If not, be prepared, it will be given.

So many times I’ve heard folks say how they have tried hard to “muster up” faith. How they have pleaded with God, fasted and did the good work. It is no secret what God can do. However faith, necessary in all interaction with God, is not built on works we can do. Faith is a product of the knowledge of God’s word; no other source..

Matthew 9:29 “Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.”
Matthew 17:20 “ And Jesus said unto them,...verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Therefore faith is from the hearing ear, and the hearing ear is from the word of God. So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message that is heard is what Christ spoke. So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ...and the ear to hear by the word of God.

Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the...”

Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Mark 4:24 “And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.”
Gen 1:26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:..”27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

First and foremost, God must always be principal player in our hearts.

Exodus 20:3 says, “You shall have no other gods before Me.”

This is the first of Ten Commandments. Nothing should dissuade us from taking it seriously. This is the critical first step to dedicating your life to God as a believer in Christ: removing everything else from the center of your life and living for Him alone. You cannot have true belief in God unless you take Him seriously. From the written word in the holy bible, you will find fertilizer for your faith. Know God, know peace. Amen. 04/09/21 BLL

A Giving Heart

  A GIVING HEART “ Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.” (1 Chronicles 29:9) Israel’s people brought gifts for the construction of the holy temple in Jerusalem, it is mentioned no less than six times in this chapter that their offerings were willing offerings. This Day

  Each Day We can only live each day in its time frame. Yesterday, with its ups and downs is passed never to return. Tomorrow is a vision of hope not yet on the horizon. Today is the day the Lord has given us. Let Each Day We can only live each day in its time frame. Yesterday, with its ups and downs is passed never to return. Each day bares its on unique set of events. Some recognizable some masked in ignorance. As we near the dawning of a new day, calling upon the Lord is a necessary activity.
