All Nations

All Nations

I don’t mingle political battles with Christ’s messages. However it seems necessary to elaborate on the subject of “our country, our nation, our corrupt leaders, etc.” Know this one thing, there is no ownership of any country save that of God. We live in some country. We abuse it politically, destroy its natural resources and then leave it for eternity. All nations seem to believe that somehow they inherited the land called home. They did not. Moving through a storm does not give you any control of its forces. We Christians will have ownership and authority in only New Jerusalem.

Revelation 7:9 “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; (16) They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. (17) For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”

The first fruit of holiness was Christ setting “the way.” First to the Jews then to the Gentiles who converted and ascribe their salvation to God and their redeemer. In acts of religious worship we come nigh to God, and must come by Christ; the throne of God could not be approached by sinners, were it not for a mediator. They were clothed with the robes made white by the blood of Jesus. Here in chapter seven we read that they had palms fronds in their hands as a symbol of their triumphs. This will be us when we have fought the good fight of faith, and finished our course. We will endlessly praise both the Father and the Son. There our praises, as well as our happiness, will be made perfect.

Christians who would gain knowledge, must not be ashamed to seek information from any who can increase their understanding. The path we walk toward the throne room of God passes through many tribulations but it shall not separate us from the love of God. It is the blood of the Lamb, that can wash away sin, and make the soul pure, clean and worthy. We will be happy in our new nation called heaven. Storms of life have led us to shed many tears. Sin is no respective of persons. Sin breeds affliction; but God will wipe those tears away. He became our all and all on the cross. All the redeemed owe their comforting spirit wholly to sovereign mercy; so Christ, our Savior, is our hope. His presence completes our happiness, hope and joy. From him we receive every needed grace; to Him belongs all praise and glory. Amen.

Know God, know peace. Amen 02/21/21 BLL
