Cry Peace

Angered, frustrated and disillusioned, we stand on the brink of more than a pandemic of viruses and disease. Our hope, placed in the skilled hands of politicians, physicians and false prophets offer no real security to our wandering mind.

Jeremiah 6:14 “They have dressed the wound of My people with very little care, saying, 'Peace, peace,' when there is no peace at all. They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious... They offer superficial treatments for my people’s mortal wound.” (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3) “Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!”

Micah 3:5 “Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who lead my people astray; When they have something to bite with their teeth, They cry, “Peace,” But against him who puts nothing in their mouths
They declare holy war.

2 Peter 2:1 “But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.”

Jeremiah 14:13-14 “But, “Ah, Lord God!” I said, “Look, the prophets are telling them, ‘You will not see the sword nor will you have famine, but I will give you lasting peace in this place.’” Then the Lord said to me, “The prophets are prophesying falsehood in My name. I have neither sent them nor commanded them nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a false vision, divination, futility and the deception of their own minds.”
Romans 16:18 “For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

2 Peter 2:3 “and in their greed they will exploit you with false words;...”

Hebrews 5:13 “For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.”
Philippians 3:19 “whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.
Romans 8:5-7 “For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,”

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 “And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?”

John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.”
Psalm 1:3 “He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.”
