The Veracity of Christ’s
Word

John 14:6
King James Version (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The veracity of these words cannot be
held in doubt by any who would be followers of Christ Jesus.
That veracity is confirmed in the
very words spoken by Him, wherein lies the sole truth, the whole truth and the
only truth as seen by God.
To me this means that all that has
been taught by him, throughout the gospels, each word, cannot be denied as
truth, nor declared impertinent, by any who would find the WAY of which he spoke.
All or nothing.
John 3:1-21
King James Version (KJV)
3 There was a man
of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that
thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou
doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except
a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he
enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of
water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof,
but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that
is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and
knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify
that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye
believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven,
even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the
Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men
loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the
light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made
manifest, that they are wrought in God.
The truth of Christ Jesus’ words, or
actions, cannot be denied without denying Christ himself.
All that He taught, not only was
relevant and pertinent to His time on earth, but remains pertinent to this time
and all time to come.
It is that eternity of the truth
revealed through Him that must be accepted, or rejected in whole.
John 1:1-14
King James Version (KJV)
1 In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that
was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men
through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the
world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew
him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the
will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his
glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and
truth.
Grace and truth were not taken from
us when Christ was crucified by those who heard only the part of the truth they
wished to accept, but was amplified and magnified through the resurrection that
gave evidence of the truth that was then and far too often remains rejected.
Each miracle performed gave evidence
of the veracity of both His words, and veracity of the truth of Who he IS and
shall remain.
Each parable taught was a reminder of
the continuous timeline of God Himself, each lesson was for past present and
future, not merely for any one of the three.
All lessons taught, either plainly,
openly, or by means of using parables, were and are guideposts to finding the
WAY, and are the only guideposts that point to that WAY.
The simple message preached, the common
theme in all lessons taught, the single commandment left us all lead to that
Way, that TRUTH and to the LIFE promised those who seek out and follow those
guideposts and accept HIS TRUTH.
Deviation from those guideposts
abound as detours are taken, detours that lead away from the Way that has been
given, and lead to a destination unacceptable to the few willing to adhere to
the TRUTH.
Matthew 7:13-14
King James Version (KJV)
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the
way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto
life, and few there be that find it.
Closure demands that I return to the
opening, that opening that demands attention, and reminds us of the veracity of
what it contains.
John 14:6
King James Version (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Each must find the veracity of Christ’s
words, now, or as they find that veracity too late, and find the veracity of
what has been forfeited.
1 John 5:7
King James Version (KJV)
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and
the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
As for myself:
2 Timothy 1:12
King James Version (KJV)
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not
ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to
keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Amen and Amen
