“Alpha and Omega”
1/9/14
1/9/14
“In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was
upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the
waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the
light from the darkness.”
(Genesis 1:1-4)
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a
great voice, as of a trumpet,
Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and,
What thou seest write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are
in Asia; Unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyarira,
and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.”
(Revelation 1: 10 & 11)
Alpha and Omega, the beginning and
the end.
Genesis and Revelation are the two most controversial books of our bible, and the most often disputed, discussed, defamed… and defended by those of true faith.
Genesis and Revelation are the two most controversial books of our bible, and the most often disputed, discussed, defamed… and defended by those of true faith.
We get so caught up in the argumentativeness
about the accuracy and legitimacy of them that far too many forget that there
is a wealth of information between these two books that clarifies and verifies both
substance and meaning.
To fully comprehend either of these
books one must also put in some time in the middle-meat.
It is that middle-meat that gives us
the guidance on how we are to progress through the beginning and end of our own
paltry existence, and it is also that middle-meat that gives us both warnings
and promises, proofs and positive affirmation of what is expected of us on our
journey between our own Alpha and Omega.
It is that middle-meat that gives the
history and shows the failures and accomplishments of mankind, and gives
guidance to where each of these accomplishments will lead us.
It is that middle-meat that is the
rich sustenance needed to join the physical body, and spiritual soul that make
up this creature called man at the time of birth.
Without that sustenance, that
creature can remain only physical body, animal in nature, dependent on his own
decisions, made without guidance from any, but his own carnal desires, that
results in the death of not only that physical body, but the spiritual soul as
well.
It is that middle-meat that gives us
the hope of the resurrection through Christ, that foretold His coming, gives us
His teachings, gives the history of His ministry, and separates the light from
the dark.
Any who would seek the light must go
to this middle-meat, embrace it, apply it, and use it to further their comprehension of what
path to follow to get to the eventual end of a journey that must lead us either
to spiritual eternity in that light, or spiritual eternity separated from that
light, existing only in the darkness and agony of that separation.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
The same was in the
beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing
made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness ; and the darkness
comprehended it not.”
(John 1: 1-5)
“But again he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the
high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the
Blessed?
And Jesus said, I am; and ye shall see the Son .of man
sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”
(Mark 14:61 & 62)
Alpha and Omega…
Promise and warning, side by side for all to see and hear...
Neither one, by itself, acceptable without
the other.
“Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
There can be no cherry picking of
individual scriptures to validate a life that is contrary to the teachings of the
middle-meat!
Any who try, have entirely missed the
point, failed in any attempted search professed, to find that light, and would
mislead any who listen to their ramblings which are contrary and contentious to
the teachings of that light!
I close begging the reader to go to
and study and apply that middle-meat that is available only at the cost of a
few precious moments of time taken to read, and comprehend them.
Alpha and Omega…
Beginning and end.
We each face both... and the time
between... Is it not worthy to know how to spend the time between the two, and
complete the journey arriving at the correct destination?
Alpha and Omega, Christ Jesus, through Whom alone we may attain salvation, and through Whom the condemnation is given those refusing to accept the reality and permanence of that salvation made possible by His sacrifice.

Acts 4:12
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
I remain, as always, that same simple
sinner saved by grace through faith in the Light I found long ago, continuing
my own journey, assured of my destination.
I must also remain that same soldier in
service to the single Light given me to light my way, praying it shine through the darkness and light the path
of others as well.
2 Timothy 1:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Amen and Amen
