Milk and Bread

Milk and Bread

A few children in my experiences of life have only had milk and bread for their meal. The very poor are destitute and make unsatisfactory caretakers of their offspring. When they have babes and milk is plentiful they absorb knowledge and grow in stature. However, a mother's milk can only take them to the beginning of full development. Lacking proper nutrition for mental and physical growth they falter and become underachievers. So it is with newborn babes in Christ Jesus. They require nurturing in the milk and bread of life.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: (1 Corinthians 3:2) “I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. (Isaiah 28:9) Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.”
Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.”
Corinthians 10:17 “For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.”
1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.” John 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. (John 6:58) This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. (John 6:33) For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. (John 6:48) I am that bread of life.”
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
Matthew 26:26And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.” (Luke 22:19) “...which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.” (Mark 14:23) And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. 24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
Matthew 4:4 But he (Jesus) answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Luke 11:3 “Give us day by day our daily bread.
Know God, know peace. Amen. 06/22/21 BLL
