Lightning
Not much attention is given to the light produced when a flash of electrical energy splits the sky. It is interesting to note that the light streak can be seen by every eye watching unless there are obstacles blocking the view. The distance from the flash matters little as long as it occurs in the sky above the curve of the earths surface. North south, east or west of the occurrence makes no difference in the time each sees the flash. All see it instantaneously. Light waves traveling at about 286 thousand miles per second allows no laps of time to earthly viewers of earthly lightning events. Along earths surface, one can see about twenty miles before the curvature of earth surface blocks their view. However, a lightning flash that occurs high in the sky can be seen further because it is farther above ground level. What’s the point, you might say. The purpose is to yield light on scriptures in God’s Holy Word.
