Promise

Promise

Only God can soothe the striving, immortal soul. He made the heart for His glory. Only He can fill it with peace and love. That is a promise that He made to those who fulfill His purpose in our creation. Though it is a simple manner to return to God and serve His purpose he is a complex ruler of the universe. A God of peace, a God of war, he cuddles His own and chastens them. The enemy of God can expect stern reduction in numbers beneath His two edged sword. We are to walk circumspectly in his ways, rightly dividing the instructions in His Word. As iron sharpens iron, Christians sharpen one another. We must police our own.

Consider this: Two little children went into the creek side meadow to run and play. Adults knew the danger but hoped they would be okay. Then from his lyrein in the clift above, the dragon came out to sun. Oh! The prayers the adults sent up to God for the children’s safety. But the dragon knew no God. He ate the children and returned to his den to burp and nod.

When we see our Christian brothers and sisters wandering into the playing field of the “Old Dragon”. We are to take action to prevent their falling victim to the dragon. Once they are completely engulfed rescue, short of a miracle, is not possible. Only God, whom the dragon knows very well, keep His children from the teeth of the dragon. That is another promise found in His word.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Galatians 5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;”
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”
Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”
John 14:14 “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
Know God, know peace. Amen 06/14/21 BLL
