Traveling for God

TRAVELING FOR GOD

Many of us “older folks” vividly remember the walk to school and church. Weather nor distance were ever an excuses not to make the journey. Often, suitable attire was also not a prerequisite to traveling. Getting to the location required of us, was accomplished on time and in good spirits. We knew where to find cold water springs and most often an old tin can hung upside down on a broken twig for use by all in dipping into its clear refreshment. Many trees, vines and bushes were full of snacks. There were no stalkers and no fear of the outdoors or meeting together. Times have sure changed; always have.

Genesis 4:16 “And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Genesis Chapter 12:1 “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him:...”

Genesis 35:21And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Edar.”
Exodus 17:1 “And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim:”
Mary was nine months pregnant when she made a donkey back ride miles to Bethlehem to be numbered and taxed.

Matthew 3:4 “And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.” 5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, 6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

Mat. 3:13 “Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.”

Matthew 3:12 “Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; 13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:”

Luke 13:22And he [Jesus] went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.”

Matthew 27:31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. 32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. 33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,”
Matthew 28:7 “And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.”
Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Now, we have jet planes, rockets, trains, virtual travel, automobiles, buses, scooters, bikes, etc, etc. Still we are not satisfied. Where will it end.

Psalms Chapter 23 “4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” The end.

Know God, know peace. 11-13-2020 BLL
