The Thing

You may remember in your youth a movie titled “The Thing.” It was a monster movie designed to scare, scar and terrify the watchers. People often use “the thing is” as a conjunction between conversational topics. Those claiming to have seen Big Foot (Sasquatch) many times say “the thing” just appeared out of no where. I know about a doctor who referred to knowing that Jesus would be born the thing. Lets understand, no matter what the thing is that we can’t elaborate upon with knowledge becomes the image in the hearers mind. Right or wrong, without further details, “the thing” will never be unveiled.

Genesis 41:32 “And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

Exodus 18:11 “Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.”
Exodus 18:17 “And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.”
Leviticus 6:4 “Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,”

1 Chronicles 2:7 “And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.
Job 3:25 “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”
Psalms 38:20 “They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.”
Luke 12:15 “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”

Luke 1:26 “And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, (27) To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. [35] And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

  A GIVING HEART “ Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.” (1 Chronicles 29:9) Israel’s people brought gifts for the construction of the holy temple in Jerusalem, it is mentioned no less than six times in this chapter that their offerings were willing offerings.   Each Day We can only live each day in its time frame. Yesterday, with its ups and downs is passed never to return. Tomorrow is a vision of hope not yet on the horizon. Today is the day the Lord has given us. Let Each Day We can only live each day in its time frame. Yesterday, with its ups and downs is passed never to return. Tomorrow is a vision of hope not yet on the horizon. Today is the day the Lord has given us. Lets make the best soldier for Him that we can while the day passes into yesterday. Each day bares its on unique set of events. Some recognizable some masked in ignorance. As we near the dawning of a new day, calling upon the Lord is a necessary activity. If we neglect the creat o r and giver of the new day, we simply cannot have a right spirit. Joy comes in the morning only through God’s book of promises.
