Fire

Fire

Fire is the selected symbol of purity, cleanliness and of the holiness of God (Ex. 3:2; Rev. "2:18), Fire is, as written, indicates "the intense, all-consuming operation of" "the Lord’s holiness in relation to man’s sin."

Christians, do your good works. Prove yourselves worthy. Stand firm and tall among others who falter in doubt. There is hope and joy for God’s children who keep his commandments and love one another. Be a help where help is needed. Be a friend where consoling is needed. Most of all be a child of God properly representing Him in all things. Administer the word; some will hear and accept. Some will not. Fear not what tomorrow might bring but live every day for the Lord knowing that what will be will be. God selects from the multitude as He judges. Work to share. Lay not up stores beyond your need. It is worthless to you. Rather invest in God’s service and providing aid to the little children and become like them.

James 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.” (Matthew 3:12) “Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
Matthew 13:48 “So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Our life is but a vapor in time; short and fragile. While we last God’s appointed time, we are to glorify Him with our reaping souls from the gates of hell by our good works. Fear of reports of dying and suffering should not defer us from our appointed task. “Work while it is day for the night comes when no man can work.”
1 Corinthians 3:16Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”

Hebrews 12:29 “For our God is a consuming fire.”

2 Peter 3:7 “...the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (Revelation 20:15) “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
We sail a course not set of our own selves but set by God. We may veer off course but we will end where God waits. Know God, know peace. Amen. 11-14-2020 BLL
