Every Man’s Word Shall be His Burden...the Wayfarer...7/5/14

Every Man’s Word Shall be His Burden
7/5/14

“And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more; for every man’s word shall be his burden: for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God.”

(Jeremiah 23:36)

Burdens are given by God to carry as we go through this existence called life that simulates that life that could be, yet continually falls short of expectation.

Those burdens carried by men often seem overwhelming to them, impossible to bear.

They are willing to listen to any and all who would claim to lighten that burden with the promises of something better, attainment of that expectation, more riches to waste on themselves, fewer troubles in lives, better health by means of sending a few bucks to some self-proclaimed prophet in return for the intercession that would fulfill that particular WANT in life while ignoring the need that exists  far exceeding any of those wants.

False prophets abound.

Each of them promise something that they cannot deliver, taking whatever they can, while retuning only words, that on examination hold no real value whatever, except for the purpose of glorifying themselves instead of God, magnifying themselves, instead of Christ, asking others to make concession and sacrifice, while themselves unwilling to forego any of the riches and pleasures that they purchase through theatrics and falsity.

Jeremiah had a true burden given him by God, a message to deliver to a people in denial; a warning that needed to be given of what was to be the result of listening to self, and those who promoted self above God.

“Behold, I am against them that prophecy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all saith the Lord.

And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the Lord? Thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will forsake you, saith the Lord.

And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the Lord, I will even punish that man and his house.

Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbor, and every one to his brother, What hath the Lord answered? And, What hath the Lord spoken?

And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more; for every man’s word shall be his burden: for ye have perverted the words of the Living God, of the lord of hosts our God.”

(Jeremiah 31-36)

Prophets, priests and the people accepting the false prophecy are all covered within this short passage of scripture, given as a warning to all who twist and pervert the words of God for their own purposes… whatever those purposes may be.

Many “scholars” deny that any prophecy has any true meaning. This I dispute vehemently, as the proof is readily available of that prophecy having already come to pass, and still in the process of coming to pass still today.

None of those true prophecies have anything to do with individual wealth and individual prosperity, but with the overall blessings to be had by the entirety of God’s people, and the eternity of those blessings for perpetuity of the souls of those people.

All of those prophecies came with the warnings of what was to be expected by all of God’s people when they fail to meet the requirements set out by God; to remain His people, by following what He has given them to keep and do.

“Preacher, doesn’t all that fall under the Old Covenant?”

Yes, it fell under the Old Covenant, and falls under the New Covenant as well!

False prophets, and, those who mislead by the twisting of the words of a living God, did not disappear with the coming of Christ; neither did the fact that there are requirements to be Christian among those proclaiming Christianity.

There are many that will preach that the rewards are there for the taking, if their words are heeded, and it is THEIR words, THEIR perversions of the words of that same living God, words that make no demands of the required repentance that was Christ’s message from the beginning of His ministry through the words left BY HIM in the final prophetic book given us in our Bible, that of Revelation.

Christ himself was, and, IS the greatest TRUE PROPHET leaving us both the promise and the warning of what to expect to come as the years progress to the time, when all the prophecy given by HIM, is fulfilled… both the promise and the warning.

The burden has been borne, one far greater than any that was given to any other prophet, one that could be borne only by the living Son of God!

Each man now has his own burden to carry, not the burden of God, but the burden of his own life, his own decisions, his own failures, his own ability to hear and follow the teachings left us, that took all burdens from us, except that one for our own lives and what we do with them, who we follow, to whom we listen, and what is sought while we live those lives, either the perfection through what Christ gave, or denial of Christ while seeking a false perception of blessings through the riches and pleasures of a world that is transient and temporary, as is our own physical lives: having both is not a possibility, and will not happen.

Each also has the promise of that very perfection that is possible through the prophecy left BY HIM and the warnings of wrath to come for failure to follow what was given BY HIM.

Nations rise and fall. They abound in blessings, or wriggle in the throes of pain as they found and form themselves on the precepts and values of their people.

When those values turn only to self-indulgence, and the worth of those empowered by their people, without having any consideration for what is valued by God, failure and fall is imminent.

This is observation only, not prophecy, as I claim no such gift, no such burden, and absolutely wish to attempt to carry no such burden as I know my own limitations and lack of both worthiness and capability to do so.

This observation does come from prophecy, however, that already given, that already promised, that already foreordained to come, that cannot be denied, having been planned and being executed by the One already bearing the burden of having created a creature that is too hardheaded and stubborn to recognize the Creator as being greater than the creation.

Should you wish to find the truth of prophecy, you need look no further than the words recorded in red as spoken by the Greatest Prophet, the SON of GOD whose access to the knowledge of things to come, cannot, and, will never, be exceeded by any man.

Should you wish to know what is to be kept and done, to assure that you are truly blessed with the things that count, not the physical, but, the spiritual blessings to be had, by an eternal soul, that WILL give account of the physical life lived, and will then experience either the promised LIFE, or, the isolation, despair and utter separation of that soul from a living God, then the words in red alone may give proper counsel.

Jesus spoke of those leaders of His time, which gave the people burdens too grievous to bear, while themselves unwilling to lift a finger to meet the requirements of those burdens.

He also told us that the burden He left upon us was light, and that HIS Yoke was easy.

The lightness of that burden comes only with the help in carrying that burden that He alone provides.

The yoke is indeed easy, as it is placed on the soul, the eternal and intransient man, that is ignored by the physical man, that works so hard to avoid the requirements for the blessings, while still seeking them in places that they will never be found.

The length of the physical life is as finite and perishable as all the things that are found within it.

The length of the spiritual life, that of the soul is NOT finite, but eternal.

Choose the burden you wish to choose to carry, choose the rewards to be had, carefully, remembering, what is finite, what is eternal, what is perishable, and what is imperishable as that decision is made.

No preacher can pray you into heaven, nor preach you into Hell, and the damnation that does exist, will also be eternal.

The only thing a preacher may do is to provide you the facts of that choice, which you, yourself, must make.

All that should be preached and prophesied has already been preached and prophesied.

All that is to be has already been determined in advance, based on the choices that are made.

The warnings have been given, the promises have been given. Choices are all that remain, in the determination of that which is chosen.

Judgment will be passed, based on those choices made, by each, and will be final…eternal.

That judgment will not be made by men, and should never be attempted by men.

Be assured that that judgment will be given, and just.

We have been shown the WAY, we have been given the TRUTH, and the LIFE is ours for the asking, but the requirements given by God, are the only burden placed on men, and the only burden that is to be borne by men.

The question to ask yourself, when that burden is upon you, is the same one Jeremiah told those people to ask then; “What has God answered?”

If you don’t find that answer within the teachings and sacrifice of my Lord, you are ignoring the answer, ignoring the way, ignoring the truth, and will never find the life.

I close, not with a burden from God, but with a specific mission given by that same God to make known just what each man’s own burden is.

I close in joy for being the simple sinner saved by grace through faith in having found that way, that truth and assured of that life yet to be given. I close with no burden, but still with sorrow for those who fail to recognize just what that burden given them is, having made the choice to ignore the burden placed on them for having failed to ask the question of what God asks of us.

I remain also the simple soldier, adamant in my attempt to assure that each one recognize the inability of all men to include themselves to carry that burden without the assistance readily available and willingly given by my Lord.

2 Timothy 1:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Amen and Amen.
