Any other Gospel
12/30/16
12/30/16
Galatians 1:8-9
King James Version (KJV)
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have
preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel
unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
The gospel is being preached around
the globe, by many, to many more, and that gospel MUST be preached to as many
as will receive it, by as many who may impart it, in whole, without dilution,
without addition, without subjection to the opinion of those in receipt of it,
without regard for profit other than the profit to be gained by its receipt and
acceptance.
The prophets of profit, whose
prosperity gospel prospers themselves above all is easily accepted, and readily
available to the masses, offered as substitution for the simple gospel preached
by Christ Jesus, that of redemption in exchange for repentance… The message
preached both to the masses through His words, and exemplified through the
miracles done throughout His ministry that magnified those words despite the
lack of their acceptance by those same masses seeking only the reward to be
found in the immediacy of now.
Each compromise of what He preached,
what He taught, what He alone gave, freely, no matter how widely accepted,
leads to the rewards of that compromise, rather than to that promised by the
Gospel given through Him.
Warnings are given throughout the
gospels and throughout the New Testament scriptures that follow them, of the
necessity to regard the gospel as what it is, rather than what was being
substituted for it prior to its having been given, and continues to be
substituted for it by those who have rejected the simplicity and permanence of
what it contains…
The apostles each faced those same
compromises that were being preached with the same warnings of the consequence
of that compromise.
Jesus knew and knows each of the
compromises, that once accepted, negates the Truth of that gospel, robbing the
receiver of the gift brought by that Truth.
John 3:11-21
King James Version (KJV)
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify
that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye
believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven,
even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the
Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men
loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the
light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made
manifest, that they are wrought in God.
This passage, containing the most
precious promise ever given mankind, is prefaced by the same Speaker that gave
that promise, with the clarity of comprehension of the sacrifice that was
necessitated in order to bring that promise, and followed by that same Speaker
with the words of sadness that that promise would continue to be rejected
despite that sacrifice by a majority who would continue to seek a more
palatable gospel than the simple one brought by Him.
2 Timothy 4:1-4
King James Version (KJV)
4 I charge thee
therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and
the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke,
exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but
after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching
ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto
fables.
The word to be preached, instant in
season and out of season is THE WORD, and what HE brought us.
Sound doctrine remains HIS doctrine
that allows for no compromise of that doctrine…. Doctrine established through
HIS words, life, sacrifice and resurrection, not through changes that reflect
the itchiness of ears that promises less than what is promised through HIM
alone.
As each New Year comes and goes, “new
philosophies” point to new rewards, “new” promises are made that reflect the
same ones made long ago in a garden, by a creature whose intent was to rob
mankind of the promise already delivered by the Creator who loved him above all
other creations.
Choice was made then, and continues
to be made daily, of promises believed, and of acceptance of the terms of the
promise, or rejection of both terms and promise.
Death was chosen in that garden
rather than life, which led to the necessity of a means to reacquire that life.
That means has been given through
Christ Jesus, remaining a choice that cannot and will not be forced on any, but
a choice that must be made by each and all.
The importance of that choice remains
for the one asked to choose to decide.
The decision chosen will be final,
and acknowledged by that same Creator, Who acknowledged the initial choice that
was given and its consequences, and will also acknowledge the choice and
consequences of that offered through the love shown and accepted or rejected.
1 Corinthians 1:18-25
King James Version (KJV)
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but
unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring
to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this
world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it
pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto
the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of
God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God
is stronger than men.
Preaching Christ, and Him crucified
means preaching HIS gospel, not that of the world that rejected and rejects
that gospel.
That requires the preaching of the
whole gospel, both promise given and warning given as well so that choice may
be made.
It is not ours to choose for any other
than ourselves, but it is a Choice offered to each that needs to be made known,
in whole, without dilution or addition, Whose terms remain as clear now as when
they were given by the ONE who brought the Gospel of the Promise, and who
alone, makes delivery on both halves of that promise.
Matthew 5:17-20
King James Version (KJV)
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not
come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one
tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and
shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but
whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the
kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the
righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the
kingdom of heaven.
The gospel brought by Christ, remains
the only true gospel, remains the only acceptable gospel, with the same promise
of redemption for repentance remaining through the Way, Truth and Life.
Revelation 22King James Version (KJV)
22 And he shewed
me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the
throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was
there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her
fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the
nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb
shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light
of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever
and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord
God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things
which must shortly be done.
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the
prophecy of this book.
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and
seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these
things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant,
and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this
book: worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book:
for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let
him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and
he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man
according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to
the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and
idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the
churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning
star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say,
Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the
water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of
this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the
plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this
prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the
holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even
so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
And, from me, a heartfelt and hardy
AMEN!
the Wayfarer
