No Word Lost

No Word Lost

John 12:48 |
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Often we Christians go to the altar to pray and leave Knowing that God did not hear us. We sit in the pew with our eyes intently focused upon the deliverer of God’s word. Our mindset far away on some secret journey. A full breakfast with friends at a local restaurant has our minds sugar buzzed and we doze. “Wow, what great service.” we hear murmured among the departing crowd. The elected “man of cloth” smiles, confident that he has given out God’s word sufficiently to instruct and educate and yet mild enough not to offend any one.

Half fed and wholly misled, the parishioners clump into groups or, two by two, wander off to enjoy Sunday afternoon at Walmart, mall, flea market or other treasured place of amusement. God, back in the church with the preacher, watches in amazement that His words were scarcely accepted in church and not at all past the parking lot. This was the tent of worship under the law and failed to enlighten people to Gods presence and led to thir rejecting God’s only son.

Acts 3:20-26 Context

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. 22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. 24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. 25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. 26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Think not my friend and listener of the man sent of God that he is little more knowledgeable than you. Jesus came unto all who would listen to his word, repent and cling to the hem of His garment bathed in the gift of salvation. Salvation is not a part time issue. It is not selective as to which of God’s creations it will be applied. Slip off your sandals sometime and approach the altar of prayer humble and receptive of the Holy Spirit. Your salvation is between you and God. Man has little to do with the call to eternal life. Lay aside the burdens that are so grievous to you in this life; opening your heart soul and mind to God. Only God has the key to your future and its well being. Know God, know peace. Amen 05-21–2019 BLL
