Is it wrong

IS IT WRONG?

Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore,...”

Was it wrong for Judas to betray Jesus? 25 “Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

Was it wrong for Caiaphas to press for Jesus to be crucified?

3 Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
4 And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

Was it wrong for Peter to slice away Jesus’ attacker’s ear?

Mat. 26:51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.
52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

Mat. 26:56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Was it wrong for Ananias and Sapphira to withhold tithes thus lying to the Holy Spirit?

Acts. 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

Answer: From these few verses we can conclude that there has existed two different standards of wrong and right.

All prophesy concerning the coming of the Messiah. His death on the cross, his burial in a borrowed grave and his third day resurrection was foretold in detail. All things from day one on our Lord had to happen. Scriptures had to report the truth of prophesy. Does that make what was done to full fill prophesy; absolutely not. Note that Jesus said that “offenses must come” but “woe to him by whom they come.” Remember, God never changes. What was wrong for Adam is wrong for President Trump or even me. Before the Grace of Christ became the mode of reaching eternal life and deliverance from sin, the law condemned offenders. Jesus knew that these offenses would occur but the choice to violate law was each individuals choice. Wrong decisions that lead to a twisting of God’s commandments are WRONG. There are sins unto death. There sins that can be prayed for and forgiven, We see both types in these examples. Being wrong is not a death sentence but it requires repentance to live. We see in Ananias’ sin of lying to the Holy Sprite by violating his vow to give all to the common use of all disciples. They sinned nor under the law but under the Grace plan of God. People must be aware that promises, pledges or orders to or from God are absolute and fixed. The penalty today is death. Unrepresented sin cast a dark shadow over our service life. Non believers are sin. God does not recognize them until they hear the heart knock, get the call and approach the throne of God repenting and begging forgiveness. Yes, it is wrong to fail to keep God’s commandments. If we love Him, we keep His commandments and He loves us. Never position yourself in a way that will block God’s love. Within the fruit of the Holy Spirit, you will discover your weapons against evil. Bottom line, if you have to ask “IS IT WRONG’ the answer is yes. Know God, know peace, Amen 05-27-2019 BLL
