Thy Crowned are as the Locusts...the Wayfarer 6/8/14

Thy Crowned are as the Locusts
6/8/14

“Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun raiseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are”

(Nahum 3:17)

Any in power, those “crowned” by whatever means, have limits, set by God as to the length of their acclimation and power. Those limits are determined by Him alone, and all the grand plans and schemes devised by them are also limited by Him.

This short book of prophecy, three whole chapters in length might well be written today as the same limits to the abominations and deceptions of those wielding those powers are also set by God.

The warnings given throughout this short book apply equally to the great nations of the earth today as they did to Nineveh when given by this prophet.

The cause for those limits, the reason for the prophecy that was given is equally pertinent to those same nations and peoples now as well, in that the cause of the prophesied wrath exists and is rampant today as it was then.

“Woe to the bloody city! It is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;

The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing of horses, and the jumping chariots.

The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:

Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavored harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.

Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of Hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.”

(Nahum 3:1-5)

The bloody city has spread far and wide to encompass the majority of all continents, and it is indeed full of lies and robbery!

The prey that does not depart is twofold, first the “helpless” prey held in the thrall of those responsible for those lies, and those who propagate those lies continually pursuing more and more the teachings of men, their sciences and insatiable desire to have more than any others taking that “wealth” from their prey only for their own purpose and enrichment.

To hear the noise of the whip, the rattling of wheels, the prancing of the horses and the jumping chariots, one need go no further than the window or front door of their own home.

It is louder and more apparent in the news broadcast daily throughout the world as nations succumb to the whoredoms described, but equally pervasive in the “close knit” communities and towns of those nations, and even with the families found within the very households making up those communities and towns.

It is easy to recognize the sword and spear that are being lifted throughout the world in the turmoil of the various revolutions, and infringements and annexation of nations that occurs, but far less conspicuous and less readily seen within the walls of those communities and even within the walls of their tabernacles and churches and mosques in those communities.

As individuals, and their homes turn to man for their comfort, turning from God, so too do communities, towns, cities, and nations.

The putrid stench of corpses and carcases permeates the air of the entire planet as warfare ensues over who will control this puny ball of mud and the various portions of it found by men to be their particular purview and place on it.

Those corpses and carcases are visible in the places of warfare, and annihilation, still ignored despite their stench by those unwilling to intervene in the reasons for the existence of those conflicts.

There are other corpses that pile up daily within the homes, communities, towns, cities and nations that are less visible but no less putrid for their invisibility, and far more permanent than  decaying flesh of a temporal and temporary body.

That rot continues beyond the grave within the eternal souls of those so enamored with themselves and the world that those souls are set aside to pursue the very whoredoms and witchcrafts attempted to be covered up, still naked to the eyes of God.

“And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazing stock.

And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? Whence shall I seek comforters for thee?

Art thou better that populous No, that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?

Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.

Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honorable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.”

(Nahum 3:6-10)

Abominable filth has already been cast out upon all the nations of this earth, and continues to be multiplied daily on that earth. The vileness of the actions and lack of actions is evident and readily discernable to any willing to open their eyes to what transpires in all corners of this world, far… and near.

God has a limit set on that abomination and filth already having determined the length of time it will be allowed to continue.

Nations, cities, towns, communities, homes and individuals are all subject to the limits of His tolerance, patience and mercy.

There are chains binding the “great men” of all these nations, cities, towns and communities that will go unbroken unless and until the message preached by Christ of redemption through repentance is heard and obeyed.

“Thou shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou shalt see strength because of the enemy.

All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the first ripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall fall into the mouth of the eater.

Behold thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies; the fire shall devour thy bars.

Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the morter, make strong brickkiln.

There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locusts.

Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoileth and fleeth away.”

(Nahum 3:11-16)

Nations are drunken, on their own power, on their own prosperity, on their own greed on their own covetousness. Nations are comprised of individuals each individually equally drunken of the same things that create only further evil, further desperation, further corruption and filth filling all those entities.

Fear comes upon them, not because they recognize the power of God, but because they recognize only the power accumulated by other men seeking the same things sought by them. They never recognize the true enemy whose strength is derived from that fear or the complete lack of strength of that enemy when face with the real strength available through the power of an Omnipotent God.

No matter the preparations made for defense of earthly things, that defense is inadequate when the enemy makes ready against those preparations.

Men alone are incapable of that defense…God is not!

The multiplication of merchants is visible and audible to all willing to see and hear as well. What they sell is death, and destruction, abomination and filth to those who seek the “pleasures and promises” made by them.

Those merchants have also wormed their way throughout the fabric of the nations, cities, towns and communities selling their wares within the very walls of our “churches”.

Like the cankerworm, they too spoil then flee after having taken what they came for, stealing the souls of those buying their wares only to find the emptiness of their glitter after having been fleeced by them.

“Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth them.

There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually”

(Nahum 3:18 & 19)

The promise and comfort offered by other prophets on closure of their writings is difficult to find in this particular book, but exists, and is easily seen if approached through the eyes of those truly honoring God.

It is the promise of recompense for the evil committed, of victory of God’s will over the evils being perpetrated.

I find comfort in these words, in full knowledge of the outcome of the battles being raged around me, shielded by that very promise given me by that same adherence and obedience to the message given through Christ Jesus of redemption through repentance.

I find sorrow that there are so few willing to seek that same comfort, so few willing to look within and see the need to root out the inherent vileness and filth that mankind brought to this earth and still brings with him, by refusing to hear that message, and refusal to understand and comply with the commandment given that overcomes all that same filth and vileness among us.

The crowned are indeed as locusts, their minions, as the grasshoppers, hiding their true agenda until exposed to the light of the sun, and more importantly exposed through the light of THE SON!

Their time is limited, the time for them and those that follow them comes soon to face not only those limits but the consequences for their actions and words that place them within that promise wrath prepared for them.

They may flee from mankind, they may even hide form men, and perhaps in time be forgotten by those mislead and robbed of the things promised… they cannot flee from nor will they be forgotten by God!

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And whosoever was not written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

(Revelation 20:11-15)

Great or small in the eyes of man, there is no difference when faced by God to give that accounting.

There are no excuses acceptable, and no advocate that may come to the rescue when the moment and means of rescue have been rejected.

This pertains both to nations, and particularly to the individuals that are the building blocks of those nations. Accountability is assured. Victory is determined and available only to those having heard, accepted and acceded to the promise of redemption through repentance.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

(John 3:16)

That love still provides the advocate that is not possible without having first heard not only the reason that God gave his Son, but also having heard the message he preached and not merely acknowledging His commandment, not merely mouthing what He taught, but applying those teachings found so easily by simply reading or hearing the gospel and accepting the love given, and living in defense of that faith required to be had in that love and those teachings… and that single commandment given us by Jesus.

I remain as always, that same simple sinner saved by the grace of that Omnipotent and Omniscient God through faith in the promise as given through the gift of that Son having no fear of the wrath that is promised and certain for all without having received that precious gift.

I remain also the soldier, banging on the gong and sounding the trumpet at the gate as the time of sorrows has begun, in the attempt to wake those still reachable and teachable despite those “crowned” only by mankind and honoring only one Crown, that of my Savior Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Amen and Amen
