Psalm 90
90 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
13 Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.
16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
“From everlasting….to everlasting! From infinity to infinity! From what was nothing to all that exists, ever existed or will exist! From the beginning of the very existence of what is perceived by the human mind as time until the end of that existence!
This is quite a large statement that encompasses far more than the history of humanity, and the fragment of “time” during which we have managed a world created by the ONE for us to inhabit and take responsibility for as “dressers of His Garden”.
This seemingly ungraspable concept of time is also to be the duration of the soul that was breathed into the dressers of that Garden that was given to provide for His Pleasure and our existence, long ago deserted for the attempt to supplant and replace that Creator by a creature that believed the lie told him that he too could be “as God”.
The trade made then, still plagues mankind, and will until the reconciliation of man, individual by individual, with that Creator, and the acceptance by that creature that it is impossible to replace God with our own attempts at recreation of His world, His intent for that world, and His intent for that very creature that tries so hard to suborn and deny that intent.
The means to that reconciliation was also given us by that same Creator, through the birth, life, crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Christ Jesus, sent solely for the purpose of that reconciliation.
John 1:1-14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Word was made flesh!
The Creator himself came to dwell with the creature created in order to assure that creature’s understanding of his own purpose, and the love for that creature that also exists… from everlasting to everlasting!
Still that very gift of love and grace was rejected by this paltry creature in favor of the lie propagated by the serpent living with him in the garden, and still living among them, repeating his lies to this day in a vain effort to be greater than the ONE that created him to begin with.
It is that lie, and its initiator that is the enemy of God, and of the creature, man, created by God that permeated and permeates this confused and roiling ball of mud, bringing with it the misery, desperation, deprivation and violence that began in the garden and will not cease until that very enemy is finally vanquished and banished once and for all from the garden, and from the influence that it holds on that creature intended only for love and joy envisioned by its Creator.
Guidance has been given this creature, love and grace have been shown this creature, both unmerited and both immeasurable in quantity as is the span of time that lasts from everlasting to everlasting.
The purpose of both the guidance given, through the scriptures, the prophets contained therein, and through the covenants established between the Creator and the created, has been, is and will always be that reconciliation between God and man, again individual by individual willing to hear the gospel of Christ Jesus, willing to comply with the message preached by Him to :
“Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”
And to comply with the commandment that was given to simply love one another as He loved us.
That message preached by Him, from the time of His baptism by John, all the way to the cross, and beyond the cross after His resurrection was, is, and will always be part and parcel of that love commanded by Him.
Love must also be more than “just for a season” and must be from everlasting to everlasting.
Concern, generated by that love, must be far more than concern for the temporal and temporary wants and lusts of a world that is also temporal and temporary, but must include love for the soul that is eternal, from everlasting to everlasting, and must take residence in that “time span” either with God, its Creator, or must be separated from that Creator from everlasting to everlasting.
Luke 12King James Version (KJV)
12 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
Fear only the Creator, not the creation, neither man, nor Satan himself!
Remember that that Creator is indeed from everlasting to everlasting, and that the power held by Him is also His alone, from everlasting to everlasting!
It is within the confines of that fear, that respect, that comprehension of the greatness of God, that greatness of the gift given through the blood sacrifice of His son, my Savior Christ Jesus, the power placed only in the hands of that Savior that lives should be led, and guidance for our journey through the temporary be given…Guidance that makes allowance for what is from everlasting to everlasting!
Revelation 22
22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Alpha and Omega, from everlasting to everlasting!
2 Timothy 1:12-14 King James Version (KJV)
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
Amen and Amen
