Glory to His Name
Glory to His Name
Matthew 10:32-33
King James Version (KJV)
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I
confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny
before my Father which is in heaven.
The troubles and turmoil of life too
often focus attention on themselves, and indeed, are of great consequence, both
to those affected by them, and those witnessing the effects of them on the
lives of those undergoing them.
Despite these ill occurrences, there
is a NEED to remember a law set in motion by God from the beginning, one
recognized by mankind’s “science” as infallible and unquestionable, proven to
be far more than theorem over centuries of recognition even before having been
postulated by that science.
That “law of physics” tells us that
for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction that must and will
occur.
Why then, should we bemoan the fact
of that opposition, when it is merely proof of the efficacy of an action taken
by none less than the Son of God that stands completely effective, in and of
itself, not subject to man’s laws, but a fulfillment and completion of those of
God?
Our reaction to the actions that
generate concern, generate fear, generate that turmoil should fall within that
same “law of physics” allowing the generation of equal and opposite effect when
properly placed within its perspective.
Too often forgotten is that
perspective given us by the very act of sacrifice, the death that offers proof
of resurrection and eternal life provided though the grace of God by His Son,
Christ Jesus!
Isaiah 54:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and
every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This
is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me,
saith the Lord
This promise is completed only
through Christ Jesus, but is indeed fulfilled and completed by HIM and cannot
be countered or denied.
Paul reminded us of the fact that the
opposition appears to be strong, but is in fact unable to conquer despite that
appearance of strength.
Ephesians 6:12-13
King James Version (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may
be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
It is far easier to stand, far easier
to do all required if there is a constant memory of the gift of grace given us
through Christ Jesus and the power conveyed by that very gift.
It is not our power alone, but the initial
action that continues to provoke that opposite reaction that must be recognized, the power held by
Christ Jesus.
John 16:33
King James Version (KJV)
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have
peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have
overcome the world.
Death and hell themselves no longer
have power over those who recognize and accept the action taken on our behalf,
therefore our reaction must be one of power and praise, remembering constantly
the true power of the regeneration given through Christ Jesus, through the
blood shed that eliminated the necessity of our own payment, that payment being
given in full by HIM for those willing to accept His simple message of
redemption in return for repentance, and the commandment given that was
reflected by Him in his sacrifice, that of love.
Yes, there is tribulation for all who
are His, but there is also a promise as well, of a peace and joy unobtainable
except through His action, one that calls for a reaction of praise!
Glory to His Name
Down at the cross where
my Savior died
Down where for cleansing from sin I cried
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His Name!
[Chorus:]
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His Name!
I am so wondrously saved from sin
Jesus so sweetly abides within
There at the cross where He took me in
Glory to His Name!
[Chorus:]
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His Name!
Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin
I am so glad I have entered in
There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean
Glory to His Name!
[Chorus:]
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His Name!
Come to this fountain so rich and sweet
Cast thy poor soul at the Savior's feet
Plunge in today, and be made complete
Glory to His Name!
[Chorus:]
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name
There to my heart was the blood applied
Glory to His Name!
I would close with a reminder of to
Whom that praise is to be given, and the power that must evoke that praise in
each of us, and allow our praise to show others the WAY, TRUTH and LIFE despite
any and all opposition.
Revelation 1:18
King James Version (KJV)
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive
for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
I would also remind all, of what the
requirement of that praise entails:
Matthew 28:18-20
King James Version (KJV)
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.
To this I add only my own praise for
the gift of grace given, and praise for the power through which it is given,
not of my own, by HIS!
2 Timothy 1:12
King James Version (KJV)
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless
I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is
able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Amen and Amen
