Who is this King of Glory?...the Wayfarer 8/17/14

Who is this King of Glory?
8/17/14

"Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory?  the Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah
(Psalm 24:7-10)
It is easy to become discomforted, disturbed, depressed, even feeling abandoned and alone when facing all the raging warfare for the souls of men that occurs daily among us.
These are the tools of a lesser being constantly trying to force us to forget the power of God who has already overcome him despite the noise, and show of a false power held by one doomed to face the eternal torment chosen so long ago when he sought to be the equal of his Creator.
It is easy to find that forgetfulness, unless the absolute confidence in that same Creator exists alongside the acknowledgement of His power, mercy and love; all of which are a part of the grace shown those who simply believe, truly believe and remain true to that belief despite all attempts at its theft.
" The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
For he hath  founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods."
(Psalm 24:1 & 2)

Mankind, despite the swaggering braggadocio of its progenitors are, still and yet, subservient to, and face the judgment of, the Creator of all they would  have you to believe they have power over.

The grand accomplishments and conquests that create such a furor among men are but ripples, allowed to wash through the small ponds of lives, stagnant water upon the beaches, as the waves of the ocean,  made by the hand of that creator, wash to shore, encompassing and removing those ripples time and again, taking with them the ponds, creating new ones  that, for a time are refreshed with life given by that Creator, eventually to be claimed once again when the waves inevitably return.

As the water in those ponds stagnate, pond scum forms, choking what it can of that life from that small pocket that was originally left by the initial wave forming it, fundamentally changing and attempting to forever remove the life that exists within those pockets, only to find themselves, once again, encompassed by the greatness of the body of water that originally Created them, which claims what life is left, giving it the needed refreshment and sustenance, washing away the pollutants and reclaiming them to place on the floor of the sea to be eaten by the creatures of the deep.

"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah."
(Psalm 24:3-6)

The only means to climb to the heights intended for mankind by God comes through having heard, heeded and taken action on the guidance given, the commandments given, and the utter mercy love and grace given that purifies hands and hearts enough to allow the soul to stand in innocence before God as that judgment is passed.

While born in that innocence, born in the purity of that love, mercy and complete grace, it is not possible to remain unstained as life stagnates the soul with the teachings and proclivities to self centeredness that come with the temptations produced by that lesser creature desiring to steal that innocence, and the soul itself from its Creator, that same creature desiring only to produce as much misery and damnation and destruction as possible prior to meeting his own fate, and to have all that will share in it because of the lies believed spoken so eloquently and convincingly by him.

To attain that innocence, that blessing that is eternal, that righteousness, one must first acknowledge and SEEK the God of his salvation!

Damnation, misery, eternal punishment are easily traded for what is intended for each soul born.

Purity and cleanliness before God are equally attainable for any who would willingly take it as the intended gift that has been offered each of those souls.

Christ overcame death, overcame sin, washed the hands of those who choose to have them  washed, purifies the hearts of those same willing to forego the vanity of their self-centeredness that would forever separate them from the God of their Salvation.

To attain that salvation, that mercy given, that grace shown requires that one acknowledge and heed the message of the one who provides that means of escape from damnation,  and the path to the blessings offered as is intended to be had by each.

"Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!"

That was the simple message given, redemption for repentance!!

"For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earthly mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory,

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Now learn a parable  of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things , know that it is near, even at the doors.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."
(Matthew 24:28-36)

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!

2 Timothy 1:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Amen and Amen
