Love's Reach

Love’s Reach

1 John 4:8 -”He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

Bible writers address the issue of love. Especially Apostle Paul. He examines the issue of the atonement of Christ Jesus for our help for sinful infirmities. Love has a healing aspect that cannot be overlooked. The Holy Book contains the word love over eight hundred times. Always “love” is associated with the effects of saving knowledge in producing obedience, and love to the brethren.

Christian love (agape) addresses other Christians as little children, young men, and fathers. All are counseled concerning their love of this world and what Satan has to offer. Also they are instructed to guard against erroneous actions that appear often. We Christians, just as they, are to anchor the soul in love. We must obey God’s commandments; all of them. We must be strong in love, faith and holiness.

When have an Advocate with the Father; He is "Jesus," the Savior, and "Christ," the Messiah, the Anointed. Only he is "the Righteous One," who perfectly obeyed the law of God, and so fulfilled all righteousness. God’s love reaches all the way to the earth and beyond. He made a new and living way to atonement. The Word of God within His own, sets the heart against all sin, and stops the practice of it; at the same time it gives blessed relief to the wounded consciences of those who have sinned.

Woe unto those who cannot see that Christ is most worthy of our entire obedience? Living a disobedient life shows there is neither Holiness nor even honesty in the professor. The love of God is perfected in him that keeps his commandments. God's grace in him attains its true mark, and this is man's regeneration; though never absolutely perfect while in the flesh. Yet this obeying Christ's commandments prove Love and its extended reach. The commandment given by Jesus is all inclusive. He said: love one another as you love yourself and as I have loved you. but it might be called a new command as given to Christians. Christian love teaches us to value our brother's soul, and to dread every thing hurtful to his purity and peace. Necessitates that we recognize their needs and assist in so far as our ability permits.

1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1 Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

How far does love reach? It reaches to the deep recesses of God’s creation and attaches to His heart. Know God, know peace. 07-31-91 BLL
