Deploreable…Unredeemable?
Matthew 19:25-26
King James Version (KJV)
25 When his
disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be
saved?
26 But Jesus
beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all
things are possible.
One of the
comments made publicly during this circus that seems unending of an election
cycle for the leadership of a nation referred to the deplorability of a large
portion of the very people to be led, and referred also to them as being
unredeemable.
Deplorability,
and the possibility of redemption are not determined by men, most thankfully,
but by God the Father Himself.
Far too
many find that deplorability in the attitude of others, then themselves become
convinced of their inability to find redemption, in fact accept a state that
need not be accepted, but has already been overcome for them, if they are only
willing to accept the redemption offered them by Christ Jesus.
They become
convinced that no hope exists for them, and turn from the help available to the
pit of damnation, dug by themselves, continuing there until there is no longer
any ability to dig it deeper, or to escape from that pit as they rely on human
perception instead of the perception offered by their creator.
Romans 10:9-13 King James Version (KJV)
9 That if
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with
the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation.
11 For the
scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there
is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is
rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Whosoever!
This simple word excludes none, and includes all, the only prerequisite being
that of faith in the promise given, and repentance shown through confession of
both the powerlessness and sinfulness of man, the absolute Omnipotence of God, and
His ability to make good on that promise as delivered by Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 1:18 King James Version (KJV)
18 Come now,
and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be
as wool.
God is far
from unreasonable, wanting to forgive, asking only that sin be rejected in
favor of the blessings of the promise that is offered.
Psalm 130 King James Version (KJV)
130 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
2 Lord, hear
my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 If thou, Lord,
shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there
is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5 I wait for
the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6 My soul
waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more
than they that watch for the morning.
7 Let Israel
hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous
redemption.
8 And he
shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
There is
always forgiveness and mercy available, hope is always to be found, if, and
only if, it is placed in the mercy offered through the grace that is sufficient
for redemption, sufficient for endurance of all the things that attempt to
steal the promise away, that may only do so when the promise is rejected
because the warning given in conjunction with is first rejected as trust is
placed in man rather than in Christ.
Psalm 103 King James Version (KJV)
103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his
holy name.
2 Bless the Lord,
O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who
forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth
thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender
mercies;
5 Who
satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the
eagle's.
6 The Lord
executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
7 He made
known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
8 The Lord is
merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9 He will not
always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10 He hath not
dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the
heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear
him.
12 As far as
the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13 Like as a
father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
14 For he
knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15 As for man,
his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16 For the wind
passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17 But the
mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,
and his righteousness unto children's children;
18 To such as
keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
19 The Lord
hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20 Bless the Lord,
ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening
unto the voice of his word.
21 Bless ye
the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
22 Bless the Lord,
all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.
Recognition
of the mercy that is everlasting, the righteousness that is everlasting,
requires keeping the covenant established through the very blood of Christ Jesus,
a covenant that provides hope and
certainty of the promise of eternal life for any and all who remember that
covenant, and the commandments that accompany it.
Job 19:25-27 King James Version (KJV)
25 For I know
that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the
earth:
26 And though
after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27 Whom I
shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my
reins be consumed within me.
Redemption
requires acceptance of the mortality of the body, immortality of the soul, and faith
in the fact that we shall indeed see, and face God despite the mortality of a
body that is temporal, but, more importantly that our Redeemer is alive as
well. It is through that Redeemer alone that any deplorability is overcome, and
redemption received based on God’s opinion, not man’s.
Matthew 12:22-32
King James Version (KJV)
22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb:
and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out
devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided
against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided
against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall
then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them
out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is
come unto you.
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods,
except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me
scattereth abroad.
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be
forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be
forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be
forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be
forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
The only truly deplorable soul is
that which rejects God, rejects the salvation offered, rejects repentance and
rejects redemption that is offered.
No matter who may find another
deplorable, and unredeemable, none is fit to make that judgment except God
Himself…It is only his opinion that counts… and it is based only on acceptance
or rejection of both warning and promise delivered by Jesus, both Judge and Executioner
as well as Redeemer for all men… including those who would supplant that Authority
belonging only to Him with their own.
If mankind finds me deplorable, it
matters not, if mankind finds me unredeemable, it matters not, but I need not
trust in mankind for my redemption or acceptance:
2 Timothy 1:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not
ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to
keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
That day is soon upon each of us, and
I pray that all find the redemption I have found in Christ Jesus, not in man
and be able to state as I state with all positivity while:
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great
God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Titus 2:13
King James Version (KJV)
Amen and
Amen
