The Beginning of Wisdom
10/12/18

Proverbs 9:10 King James Version (KJV)

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

It never ceases to amaze me when sagacity is claimed in total by two completely divergent and opposite factions of society, each claiming to be the only true path for humanity's salvation and prosperity.

As each side proclaims its own wisdom, and the foolhardiness of all in disagreement with them, civility is rescinded, leaving only room for louder, more increasingly violent disagreement that takes all peace and prosperity from both sides, neither gaining , both losing!

This degeneration begins with what is being taught as wisdom, from birth, by teachers who are themselves too often far less than wise, incapable of finding real direction for themselves and their own lives, much less than being in a position to give direction to others with  whom they find every reason to disagree.

Wisdom must begin in parental guidance and teaching, or what is passed off for that wisdom coms only from peer groups equally as inept as the one being taught.

Proverbs 22:6-8 King James Version (KJV)

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.

As the world descends ever more rapidly into the depravity and decay of its own corruption, and, particularly, as I personally am reminded constantly of the brevity of man's time in that world as my own time becomes ever more brief, I cannot help but look at what is taught, and what teachings are abandoned in order to replace them.

The singular most important thing that may be instilled in a young person remains the fact that we are reliant on an omnipotent, omniscient Creator, and upon our response to the purpose and intent of our existing, as a race of humanity, and as individual members of that race, confined to the sharing that existence with our fellow creatures, each as imperfect as are we.

Once children were taught the importance of recognition of edible plants, and animal life to sustain life itself for both individual member of that human race.
Today, however, even something so basic as prolonging that existence through the lessons learned by our forebears is forsaken for "higher" and "loftier" goals that leave the individual helpless when faced with the reality of the necessity to provide both physical and physical nourishment that sustains the being that thinks itself so wise.

Boys are no longer taught responsibility for themselves, their chosen mates and the inevitable progeny that results from the pairings that are, too often only temporary, rather than the permanent devotion demanded in order for family to exist, and for members of that family to each contribute toward the existence of the group, whether father, mother or child called upon to return the love shown by those who have given that love to them, sacrificing those "loftier goals" thought to provide prosperity that does not, in fact, exist.

Seemingly forgotten is the need for SOMEONE to grow the food that sustains them, SOMEONE  to manufacture the goods they so readily consume, SOMEONE wise enough to comprehend that when the violent disagreement ends, there remains the basic need to remember the sentence given Adam  to earn the necessary sustenance boy the sweat of his brow, a sentence imposed on all that come after him despite the allure of the lie promoted by the serpent of equality with God himself.

Girls are no longer interested in the qualities that make them invaluable part of the team in that existence, casting away the importance of their place to pursue the same "higher" and "loftier" goals  made so falsely important by the luxury of having always had the benefit of provision of the essential needs of life given them by the preceding generation's effort and sweat, willingly expended to make life easier and more pleasurable for them, while allowing time for them to seek the "wisdom" of mankind's invention.
Classes in the schools that were once offered that held real meaning for the future demands of life are no longer taught either male or female, as the ability to meet the requirements of that life on their own  disappears with the replacement of classes in the "arts", the various "philosophies" that deny the need of contribution  as Utopia is sought.

While the sides choose to be divided to the point of ridiculousness, all call to the remembrance of the true wisdom needed is abandoned.

To what avail can be the pursuit of  the "arts" and loftier things be reached once the division destroys the basic necessities being ignored?

When the descent into the maelstrom comes, as it  must and will, of what use is the appreciation of those "arts" to the starving masses left to face the result of mankind's "wisdom" once it becomes the war between man and the world itself in order to survive in that world?

Wisdom enough, and more than enough has been given this creature from the beginning of the existence of this world, yet till rejected because of the refusal to accept mans place in the order of the Creator's creation.
That wisdom began as Adam was given the simple commandment that he violated, forever denying the Utopia  given him by the love and grace of his creator, choosing instead that putrid lie that is still pursued attempting to be equal to, or more important than God Himself.

The needed wisdom remains available through the scriptures left us in the small collection of books we call the bible, but available only to those wise enough to read, comprehend, accept, and, believe what has been given us.

The means to that "Utopia" sought so diligently by man, is real, still available and accessible to all through the final gift of grace given us in the personage of Christ Jesus and the sacrifice given by Him to provide that accessibility.
Wisdom still begins and ends with the fear and worship demanded by our Creator from the beginning..
That wisdom still begins in what is taught children; what is taught as important to them; what is paramount to survival in the priorities taught by parents, whether that parent himself has found that wisdom given or whether that parent still rejects God's wisdom supplanting it with the lie given Eve that resulted and still may only result in death rather than life.
Christ brought us that wisdom needed to bridge the gap created by her belief in the lie, if only that bridge is chosen by each to be crossed as the brief journey of life allotted each of us continues to its final breath, and life is given for those choosing that bridge, or death remains the sentence for all who reject the grace of that wisdom provided through His blood that, alone, can breech the gap that exists .
Christ came in Love, and was sacrificed in that same Love leaving only a commandment of Love that is so visibly rejected by man.

He brought a simple message that is easily comprehended, yet difficult for those choosing the lie to accept... redemption in turn for repentance.

Without repentance there can be no wisdom, as man chooses to refuse to fear the Creator whose initial plan was, is and will continue to be one of Love for that creature.

As my time to cross the gap separating this temporary world and the eternal world that is yet to come, I remain that same simple sinner saved by grace, redeemed as repentance was and is given, praying that SOME still find that same bridge between God and man by seeking and finding the wisdom to accept their place in the plan given before birth by God, provided still only through the faith in that plan, the Creator, and the blood sacrifice of the only savior provided or to be provided, Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Amen and Amen
