The Final Words of the Final Chapter

Revelation 22: 20&21
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
The final words of the final chapter of our bible are the culmination of the scriptures given for our edification and guidance, the scriptures left us that tell the entire story of our relationship with God, the entire promise that has been given, and the warning left for those refusing to accept that promise.
John's writing, given him by none less than Jesus Himself, like so many of Paul's, letters to the churches, concludes with the salutation and prayer that the grace of our Lord be given those reading them and the final point of exclamation of the word that is still uttered today in homes and churches throughout the world, amen.
That single word, amen, in and of itself holds its own significant exclamation of the truth of what was written, the very veracity of the scriptures themselves, but more importantly the veracity of Christ Jesus and agreement with the truth of what was said and done by Him, what is yet to come, and agreement with the totality of the complete will of God within His plan for mankind.
Before having reached those final words of that final chapter, that final declaration of TRUTH, it is imperative that the entirety of the scriptures given also be read and understood, as they too are part and parcel of that final declaration.
They begin, appropriately, at the beginning of the history of this creature, who must understand that beginning to comprehend the final words of this prophecy for what the intended, and assured certainty of his existence entails.
Genesis 1King James Version (KJV)
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
The final creation, this creature called mankind, was created FOR A PURPOSE!
That creature was, and is created, by God, to serve that purpose.
Because of that purpose, special care was given in his creation, special and unique gifts were given him; totality of authority over all within his environment was given him; and singularly, the image given him was that of the Creator Himself, to include the free will given him alone of all the creations that were initialized and completed to serve that Creator.
Each word of the scripture carries with it the importance of that Creator's purpose for His creation. Each sentence of every passage carries the promise conveyed to that creation, and, after the choices made by that progenitor of mankind, Adam, that promise is coupled with the warning accompanying the promise that was given him.
The purpose given that initial creation, and the intent that all created continue to exist for that pupose has never been altered, nor changed by that Creator, and the final amen, given, along with the conclusive request for that grace initially given at creation includes the amen to that purpose and intent as well.
Many times, previously, I have mentioned, and exhorted the fact that within the scriptures between the opening words," in the beginning", and that final amen, there is important "middlemeat" that must also be read and understood.
I do so again, as that middlemeat, and its significance, are also part and parcel of that final word given that signifies the veracity and agreement with all that is contained within the bindings of our scriptures.
That middlemeat, was, and is, intended to reach the reachable, teach the teachable, and warn those refusing to be reached or taught.
That middlemeat was given to all for their edification, or refusal, a choice of acceptance of purpose, or rejection of the entirety of that very veracity contained in the final words of the final chapter.
God's special love for mankind has been manifested through the milenia since that day He created mankind, and continues to be manifested and proven continually, despite the choices that have been made by that creature, and the refusal of acceptance of purpose that precludes acceptance of existence as well.
free will to accept or deny that purpose is still extended, within the confines of the allocated span of time designated by the Creator to make that choice.
The affection, and care extended by that creator have never been witheld from that creation, it has been and continues to be, extended for acceptance or rejection by that creature.
The final means of acceptance, the final covenant given that creature was given through the sacrificial offering of Christ Jesus, God himself, made flesh so that flesh could return to the purity and incorruption demanded by the Creator for existence within the purpose for which mankind was created.
.
.
Jesus came to bring the means of that return, and, to do so within the confines of the free will of mankind's acceptance or rejection of that means of return.
Choice remains with each to reach the decision of acceptance or rejection of the love extended, choice of eternal purpose intended, or purpose rejected in lieu of temporary purpose offered in its stead.
Choice remains, through free will to choose eternal life, or to choose eternal death and separation from that intended purpose.
Matthew 10King James Version (KJV)
10 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
The entire scripture included above comes from that middlemeat, from the gospel that was given by Jesus during His ministry that also is part and parcel of that final amen.
Jesus was adamant that the gift was to be extended to all, but once extended the choice was to be final.
Those chosen to assure the offering of that gift were to make the offer, and allow for its acceptance or rejection.
That acceptance or rejection then defined any further action to be taken by those sent to make the offer.
That acceptance or rejection then defined any further action to be taken by those sent to make the offer.
The same applied and applies to scripture given from the sermon on the mount tha gave both promise and warning as well, found also in Matthew, through the 7th chapter, begun in the 5th chapter, middlemeat that must be consumed in entirety before the final amen may be given.
In that 7th chapter, just prior to the promise that still is given that I as well as so many dearly love that tells us to ASK, the warning is also given that the pearls offered will not be accepted by all, and that care is to be given where they are offered.
Swine have no use for pearls, they know only the drive to consume.
That consumption that drives them is for the desires of the moment only, with no comprehension of the value of anything not gratifying their lust of the moment.
That consumption that drives them is for the desires of the moment only, with no comprehension of the value of anything not gratifying their lust of the moment.
Their purpose simply is that consumption, in their own understanding, never comprehending where they lie within the foodchain that is also part and parcel of the initial plan that allowed for their creation.
Choice is offered to all, to believe, and accept that final amen, that includes all that comes between the opening words of Genesis, and the final wish for the grace proferred with all it entails as well, or to reject part and parcel by the rejection of that all important middlemeat leading up to that final amen
.
.
Once more, I would offer all the words of that final chapter, in its entirety, prefaced only by my reiteration of another portion of that middlemeat.
2 Timothy 1:12King James Version (KJV)
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
To this, as well as to those final words, I must give my own AMEN, and it must resound for all to hear that my choice has been made. I may only make that choice for myself, each must make their own to:
"REPENT! For the Kingdom of heaven is at hand."
"REPENT! For the Kingdom of heaven is at hand."
Revelation 22King James Version (KJV)
22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
And again, I add only my own AMEN AND AMEN!
