Death and Taxes

Job 1:21 KJV
21And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD

It has been said that the only constant certainty in life is in death and taxes.

It is an unpleasant, often ignored certainty, avoided as much as is possible, by all but a few, until final payment is due and required.

Taxes are either paid, or accrue interest until paid, as the amount of that bill continues to increase.

Wages are indeed taxed, those taxes required by government to pay for the various programs demanded by the people in the name of progress.

Thus has it ever been since "civilization" of any nature sprung up on the face of the earth.

Men have avoided and continue to avoid those taxes through every means available to them, as they attempt to place the responsibility of payment on the shoulders of others, rather than accept that responsibility as certainty.

Matthew 22:20-22 King James Version (KJV)

20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

Those words were spoken by Christ, when attempt was made to show reason for His arrest by those seeking His  death rather than the Life offered by Him.

Life itself holds a constant price for those living it.

Life itself garners wages, stocked and stored, briefly providing  things that are also taxed, as they are bought and used up requiring still further earnings and taxes.

Romans 6:23 KJV
 23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD.

Despite any attempt to avoid or defer this "tax" it will be collected from each by none less  than the Creator as it has been since the demand for it became necessary through the actions of one ignoring the simplest and easiest commandment given by God, and the certainty of what would follow ignoring that commandment.

Genesis 3:14-19 King James Version (KJV)

14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
That  pronouncement has never been broken, and is rescinded only through the redemption given in blood by Christ Jesus!
If a man live one day longer, or an  hundred years longer from this moment forward, the certainty will remain in the fact that he cannot escape or avoid either the wages paid in, or the judgment of those wages once the breath given him returns to his Creator, and the dust returns to dust awaiting the resurrection to either Life, or a second death, dependent upon acceptance or rejection of the certainty given that resurrection through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus.

Billionaires cannot buy their way out of that certainty, their billions never making transition from this life to the one promised by Christ.

Paupers will be given equality as the wages are paid and the tax collected!

Those burying their head in the sand and denying CERTAINTY will come face to face with that certainty despite all denial.

Those coming face to face with that Certainty may take one of two certainties with them to the grave and beyond.

It has always been, and shall always be a certainty to be faced either in fear, or to be faced rejoicing in the certainty of LIFE!

Romans 14:11 KJV
 11For it is written, As I live, saith the LORD, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

The young, and the aged alike face that same certainty, never knowing when the demand to meet that certainty must be met face to face.

The denial of that certainty, no matter how loudly proclaimed cannot delay its eventuality!

2 Timothy 1:12 KJV
 12For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Amen and Amen
