Children of Light...the Wayfarer
Children of Light
Ephesians 5:8
“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:”
Darkness, and the cover of darkness, will always be broken as light diminishes that darkness, abolishes that darkness sought by those not willing to come to the light that shines forth with the TRUTH that is that LIGHT.
Man's continuing attempt to use darkness as cover, to hide his fallibility, to attempt to refute his mortality and the nature of that mortality remains as futile as it was when Adam and his spouse attempted to hide from their Creator in the Garden, and as their progeny attempted to hide his actions from that same Creator after killing his brother.
Men continue to deceive men, for a while, hiding behind shadows of darkness unwilling to come to that light in fear of the light itself... and rightfully so when that light is refused...refuge is sought in the darkness instead...while God Himself is never deceived, insisting on light that negates the existence of that darkness.
Just as Cain's charade and denial were inept, and futile, so too remain the attempts of all choosing the same refusal of that light.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 KJV
13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Layer upon layer of darkness peel away as the light shines through the depth of those layers, refusing to be extinguished despite the number or depth of those layers.
Men have tried through the centuries to cover darkness with darkness, history erased, or attempted to be erased rather than accept the light of that TRUTH that allows for no erasure of darkness by darkness, but rather exposes that darkness to the LIGHT of TRUTH despite the plans made in the darkness, intended to be covered for those plans to come to fruition... plans made by fallible men, stymied in each instance by an infallible GOD.
John 1:1-5 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Darkness holds no comprehension of the LIGHT, wishing only for the continuance of itself, failing to recognize that its existence is only temporary, unable to stand in the coming LIGHT that vanquishes all within it, vanquishing the false comfort it would provide those who so willingly cling to it.
John 3:19-21
Darkness abounds in a world that seeks the continuation of its cover.
LIGHT continues to shine on and through that darkness, with the promise of the final banishment of all darkness with the return of that LIGHT that allows no shadow to be cast wherein to hide.
As the affairs of those seeking the cover of darkness continue, the surety of the exposure of those seeking that cover remains inevitable with the coming of that LIGHT.
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light [are] both alike [to thee].
Darkness hides nothing from God, LIGHT exists, sent by GOD that the darkness be overcome despite all attempt to ignore that LIGHT.
It is in that LIGHT alone that hope exists for a creature that proliferates the darkness created by himself, for himself.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places.]
That wrestling match has been won, once and for all by none less than the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who cannot be defeated, nor denied, despite the darkness He exposed, and exposes, while shining the LIGHT of his LOVE on all willing to come to that light.
Coming to that light requires the acknowledgement of the darkness that would surround us and encompass us without it. It requires hearing and heeding the simple message brought by that LIGHT that redemption is available through repentance, and that LIGHT must be chosen over the darkness if that redemption is to occur.
Acknowledgement of that darkness does not defeat the light, but instead strengthens that light is it is increased by each refusing to walk in the darkness as it is seen in all its powerlessness against that light.
2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”
Once that LIGHT is found, darkness, though acknowledged as existing, is rejected and more light is shown within it.
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
That LIGHT shines beyond the darkness of the temporary, beyond the confines of a temporary world immersed in its own darkness, into the eternal realm inhabited by the eternal soul created to bask in that light rather than cringe in fear of it.
The LIGHT of LIFE comes only through the WAY given to it, The TRUTH that generates it, generating LIFE in that Light, rather than the death generated by darkness sought by those unwilling to accept the LIGHT.
1 John Chapter 1
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Walking in that LIGHT requires belief in that LIGHT despite the darkness, requires vision clarified by that LIGHT that comes only through that belief and faith in HIM.
Coming out of the darkness to that light may happen only if the LIGHT is chosen and accepted.
Choice remains for each to make, but LIGHT will overcome the last vestige of cover offered in the darkness!
2 Timothy 1:12 King James Version (KJV)12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
