Ye Believe in God, Believe Also in Me.

John 14:1  KJV

¹Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Belief...Faith...Acceptance of the REALITY of the existence, omniscience and omnipotence of the Creator...His superiority and Authority over His creation are concepts that appear to be fading, diminishing, while the search for another greater power that does not exist becomes ever more acceptable to a youth deluged with the same false teachings that have been propagated among the children of Eve since the banishment from the Garden of Eden.

It was Eve's acceptance of a lie that initiated the original sin that first brought death and separation from our Creator, and that has plagued mankind with the result of that lie ever since.

Man has come to believe in science, an invention of his own above the reality of his Creator.

The whispers of lies from that creature in the garden that subtly came to her and convinced her continue being heard above the warning given by that Creator, continue denying the promise given by that same Creator as the lie is accepted as Truth and Truth itself is denied.

Genesis 3:1-8

3 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

² And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

³ But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

⁴ And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

⁵ For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

⁶ And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

⁷ And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

⁸ And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

Mankind continues to attempt to hide themselves from the presence of God, through the denial of His very existence while accepting the existence granted them by that very Creator.

The denial of that existence does not negate that existence, nor does it negate the Authority demanded by that existence.

Over the years, I have heard many state that they have no belief in God, nor any belief in the eternity of the soul breathed into man by Him.

I have heard others state that they believed in God... just barely... seeing no need to submit to any Authority exercised by Him, claiming instead a self sufficiency that demanded no requirement to accept the necessity of servitude and subservience to Him.

All have met the requirement imposed that was denied by that initial lie, believed by Eve, that remains in place and shall remain in place in perpetuity, whether having been accepted or not!

That whispering, lying creature that approached Eve denies even his own existence, as men deny the very presence of that creature as well, while elevating him to the position he covetously desired by attempting to elevate themselves above the Power and Authority extant only in the Creator they deny.

Romans 1:18-23

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

¹⁹ Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

²⁰ For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

²¹ Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

²² Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

²³ And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Knowledge  OF God is reduced to  knowledge of the concept of God as opposed to the Reality of God.

Without true knowledge OF God, and acceptance of the existence of that reality, it becomes impossible to KNOW God.

Denial of the absolute TRUTH cannot negate that TRUTH, nor can belief in a lie make a lie into truth.

Profession of wisdom, profession of power, profession of ability demand EVIDENCE of these things.

The evidence of God's Wisdom, Power and ability are evident in the very history of mankind, and in his, (mankind's) failures.

The evidence of God is in creation itself, in all the minute and imperative. intricate interactions that allow for the functionality and existence within the confines of this world, and within the unconfined infinite universe that surrounds it as well in all the grand glory of that creation, insignificant in comparison to the unfathomable glory of the Creator.

Belief in God was inevitable to Adam and his wife as they attempted to hide from Him in the Garden.

Knowledge OF Him was unquestionable as they were cast from that Paradise into the toil and wear of a world they sought to know instead of Him.

That knowledge of HIM remained forever with them as did the consequence of the denial of the Authority  held by Him.

Their progeny retain the ability to recognize both the REALITY and AUTHORITY that exist in HIM alone, yet refuse to submit to that ability as they continue to tout their own cognizance of themselves, which demands the cognizance of HIM as well.

That ongoing self assurance, cockiness, stubbornness,  feeds on itself, continuing a denial of the TRUTH, the helplessness and inability that exist within a creature that fails to see either.

It was, and is, that very helplessness that demanded the birth, ministry and sacrifice provided by the CREATOR Himself despite the will of man continuing to attain the place  possessed only by that Creator, a place that cannot and will not be usurped by either the whisperer in the Garden, or the children listening to those whispers.

The original commandment to refrain from that which brought with it false promise of replacing God, while the real warning of death, too often remains unheeded, going unheard above the shouts of the glorious accomplishment of men while denying the supreme accomplishment of GOD!

That supreme accomplishment was made through LOVE. 

When Jesus was resurrected, death and hell were defeated, granting victory to all willing to participate in that victory.

Repentance, as preached by Him, allows for REDEMPTION granted BY HIM as well.

Redemption relies on the repentance being given in the BELIEF in the TRUTH manifested from the beginning, that denies the lie substituted for that TRUTH.

Refusal to KNOW God through the belief in His existence allows for the  refusal to BELIEVE in HIS ability to overcome what has been overcome through the sacrifice given to assure the intended eternal presence of the Creator, and being protected from within that presence. 

LIFE is available to all despite the mandatory execution of sentence imposed when Eve believed the lie.

LIFE remains a choice, but only for those who choose BELIEF, complete belief rather than partial, in the WAY, TRUTH and LIFE offered through the final covenant with men given by that Creator.

¹² For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
