Stubble...the Wayfarer

Image
Stubble John 4:35 King James Version (KJV) 35  Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. Seasons come, and pass. Time to plant comes, and what is planted has sufficient time to grow to maturity and fruition in accordance with the care taken to assure that growth, the nutrients applied, the careful cultivation and weeding that requires constant attention and effort along with the time of rain that waters the crop and the sun that is so needed for growth. Only the foolhardy refuse to plant during the short allotted time that passes so quickly into what should be that time of growth, waiting until harvest time to plant as winter approaches  when that growth is impossible. When planting season is properly observed, each crop sprouts and becomes visible to the planter, its development apparent, or lack of development and...

While WE were yet Sinners...the Wayfarer

Image
While WE were yet Sinners Romans 5:8 KJV   8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God's Love never excluded any sinner, nor can it ever include unrepentant sin that would of a necessity separate us from that Love. Many forget that ALL are sinners in the sight of God, and cannot have hope and certainty without having met the requirement of the simple message brought to us by Christ Jesus, yet ANY may meet that requirement through faith and belief in HIS sacrificial atonement. Christ had no need to make that sacrifice for the righteous, but made it rather for the sinner that could not ever obtain accessibility to that Love without that sacrifice being made. Luke 5:32 KJV   32 I came not to call the righteous , but sinners to repentance. God's Love for this paltry creature began before He CREATED that creature in HIS own image. When breathing life into the nostrils of that ...

More than Conquerors... the Wayfarer

Image
More than Conquerors Romans 8:37-39 KJV 37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Despite the evil that walks among us, prevalent in the hearts and minds of a carnal creature, on a carnal planet, looking for answers that can not be found in the carnality of men, in the philosophy and plans of men, despite the desire to give in to defeat when that evil show its power with the intent to rob man of the Love granted us by God through Christ Jesus, that Love remains, even more powerful than the depths of despair that otherwise would drive this creature and deny the hope that perfection is attainable through that love. Evil has walked co...

They that be whole need not a Physician...the Wayfarer 1/20/13

Image
1/20/13 They that be whole need not a Physician “’But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice; for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Matthew 9:12 & 13) Forgive the skipping around today that must occur to get the message out that is intended to be presented. We will cover several segments of scripture in an attempt to lead the reader to the discovery of exactly whom our Savior intended to comprehend his teachings, and hopefully to reach some of them as well. I will begin with this particular passage of scripture, as Jesus having healed a lame man in the presence of a crowd, including Pharisees, chooses a place to have a meal: “ And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose ...

Beginning and End...the Wayfarer

Beginning and End Revelation 22:12-13 King James Version (KJV) 12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. First AND last, beginning AND end! This statement is all encompassing, incontrovertible, unchanged, and unchanging no matter how "times have changed", no matter how "people have changed", no matter how "morals and laws have changed", no matter how much "the church has changed"! The promise contained within the 12th verse remains unchanged, unchanging and unchangeable, as does the implicit warning contained within the 13th verse of this scripture given John by Christ himself, and is a continuation of the gospel given us by that same apostle. John 1 King James Version (KJV) 1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2  ...
