“Grace be with all Them”...the Wayfarer

Image
2 years ago “Grace be with all Them” “Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ’ Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.” (Ephesians 6:24) Paul ended each of his epistles to the various churches and individuals to whom they were originally addressed with well wishes, each specifically given in its own unique situation and circumstance. These last two verses of Ephesians were no exception, but are exceptionally clear and pertinent not only to that church, at that time, but to all Christians everywhere at all times as well. Peace as promised by Jesus, love that brings that peace, with faith to be maintained by them that was given from God, and our Lord himself, not by mere men among them, or the words or works of those mere men, is first referenced. All of the above are summed up in that last verse by wishing them grace which encompasses all of those, and far ...

Children of Light...the Wayfarer

Image
Children of Light Ephesians 5:8 “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light :” Darkness, and the cover of darkness, will always be broken as light diminishes that darkness, abolishes that darkness sought by those not willing to come to the light that shines forth with the TRUTH that is that LIGHT. Man's continuing attempt to use darkness as cover, to hide his fallibility, to attempt to refute his mortality and the nature of that mortality  remains as futile as it was when Adam and his spouse attempted to hide from their Creator in the Garden, and as their progeny attempted to hide his actions from that same Creator after killing his brother. Men continue to deceive men, for a while, hiding behind shadows of darkness unwilling to come to that light in fear of the light itself... and rightfully so when that light is refused...refuge is sought in the darkness instead...while God Himself is never deceived, ins...

In the Shadow of the Cross...the Wayfarer

1 year, 3 months ago In the Shadow of the Cross Luke 23:28-34 King James Version (KJV) 28  But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. 29  For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. 30  Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. 31  For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry? 32  And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. 33  And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. 34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Despite the fact that...

Change...the Wayfarer

Image
1 year, 7 months ago Change   7  Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.   8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.   9  Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein   (Hebrews 13: 1-9)   This world, insignificant in size or importance within a giant universe, yet significant to its Creator with all the creations placed upon it, particularly the creature given dominion over it, constantly seems to seek and find change.   That change sought is sought by each member of the race of beings placed upon it to tend to its continuance and the proliferation of what was originally intended to be its purpose.   Pursued are av...

How Shall They Believe?...the Wayfarer

Image
1 year, 8 months ago How Shall They Believe? 13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:13-15) There is that all encompassing word again, “ Whosoever .” That whosoever, must, however, call upon the name of the Lord, and believe that   He is the Lord! Without that belief, then the call must go unheard and is an empty cry into the atmosphere to its content of nothingness. How, indeed shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? The will assuredly call, and shall assuredly know that He is Lord as they stand in His presence facing ...
